This Senior Creative Copywriter will exhibit strong writing skills and an ability to collaborate with the creative and design team to ensure quality, verbal and visual consistency, and timeliness of material.



What you'll be doing:

  • Developing compelling creative concepts and high quality verbal content, within brand and on strategy, across a large variety of print and digital media, specifically geared towards our multiple Retail channels.

  • Writing creative, effective marketing copy according to project specifications/creative briefs.

  • Researching clients, their competitors and target audiences to support creative strategy and inform the execution.

  • Providing writing support for aligned client groups, as well as supportting projects from other clients as demand and scheduling requires.

  • Producing original, clear and credible copy and being accountable for the final development of creative assets.

  • Ensuring messaging brand guidelines and directives are embraced and adhered to in all executions.

  • Adhering to regulatory and compliance regulations.

  • Executing writing requests with accuracy, producing zero errors in work (all client edits are implemented correctly, spell check was run, facts were confirmed).

  • Working to improve the team’s overall performance and embrace a collaborative approach.

  • Supporting peers by reviewing work to ensure zero errors in work per above.

  • Editing and proofreading material as demand and scheduling requires.

  • Supporting leadership in helping to build a unified team mindset.

You’ll need to have:

  • Bachelors degree or two or more years of work experience.

  • Four or more years of relevant work experience.

Even better if you have one or more of the following:

  • A degree in English, journalism, communications, or relevant field.

  • External or in-house agency experience.

  • Three or more years of professional-level writing experience.

  • Experience working on a B2B account.

  • Strong experience in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Adobe Acrobat.

  • Experience with AP and/or Chicago Manual of Style.

  • Knowledge of writing applications in traditional and emerging channels.

  • Ability to maintain a consistent voice and audience focus in writing.

  • Ability to boil down verbose content to the “essence” of the main message in a concise, effective manner.

  • Ability to exhibit consistent quality control in your work.

  • Knowledge of specific channels or vertical markets as required by job function.

  • Ability to adapt style of copy to various audiences, purposes or media.

  • Ability to exhibit competency in presenting creative work.

  • Experience working within legal and compliance parameters.



Where you’ll be working

In this hybrid role, you'll have a defined work location that includes work from home and a minimum eight assigned office days per month that will be set by your manager.

If you are hired into a California, Colorado, Connecticut, Hawaii, Maryland, Nevada, New York, Rhode Island, Washington or Washington, D.C. work location, the compensation range for this position is between $96,000.00 and $178,000.00 annually based on a full-time schedule. The salary will vary depending on your location and confirmed job-related skills and experience. This is an incentive based position with the potential to earn more. For part time roles, your compensation will be adjusted to reflect your hours.
