Job Description

Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking a Senior Cyber Network Engineer to join a Federal Program located in Chantilly, VA. The Senior Cyber Network Engineer will provide ideas for automating repetitive project tasks and metrics collection through the use of scripts and assists with testing/implementation to production.

Responsibilities of the Senior Cyber Network Engineer:

• Work closely with customers on onboarding, updates and troubleshooting issues with cybersecurity tool
• Provide customer support via phone, email, or messaging services to resolve issues and answer questions. This includes maintaining communication throughout the entire process, as necessary.
• Provide insight into efficiencies that can be gained from the current workflow based on an understanding of the customers’ requirements
• Performs engineering support and system administration of specialized cybersecurity applications and systems to include installation, configuration, maintenance, patching, and back-up/restore
• Identify potential conflicts with implementation of any cybersecurity tools within the enterprise and develops recommendations to remediate these conflict

Qualifications of the Senior Cyber Network Engineer:

• Bachelor’s Degree or 4+ years of additional experience in lieu of degree
• 5+ years of related network experience (firewalls, routers, switches and load balancers)
• Knowledge of Windows and Linux systems, general operating system security practices, TCP/IP networking, and network security concepts is required
• Knowledge of and the use of AWS cloud technologies
• Must have or be willing to obtain IAT Level II or higher certification within 6 months of hire
• Must have a current/active TS/SCI w/Polygraph

Compensation of the Senior Cyber Network Engineer:

• Salary Range: $130,000 + *flexible based upon experience*
