The Deal Assurance Strategist will have ownership of multiple programs throughout the  opportunity lifecycle. This ownership consists of the pre-signature Deal Readiness, and post-signature Implementation Assurance activities (where an opportunity qualifies) for complex custom solution opportunities..  

This role will lead discussions around systematic on-boarding efficiencies, strategies, and quoting abilities to help ensure that these custom opportunities are systematically supportable upon signature/sale, and lead the ordering activity for these opportunities by collaborating with the Customer and internal VZ support teams during program implementation.  

In this role you will create, document and communicate new or established processes or strategies and work with the broader Custom Solutions and Technology Solutions teams in creating repeatable custom solutions for future sale.  The candidate must have a deep understanding of the presales flow and associated processes required to drive a customer solution to operational readiness upon contract signature and lead the post-signature ordering activity for the solution.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Leading the Deal Quoting Strategy, defining and managing the quoting and contracting timelines from deal kick off to customer submission. Helping drive buy-in and escalating where needed to the various stakeholders involved in the opportunity-->contract process.

  • Hosting and leading Deal Readiness calls inclusive of all relevant teams required to finalize a solution 

  • Ensuring all proper approvals obtained from relative groups such as, tax and regulatory, as required by local and/or central billing requirements for both network and CPE elements.

  • Leading special project initiatives leveraging the Custom Solutions Deal Assurance  organization experience to drive an enhanced customer experience.

  • Jointly responsible to ensuring presales process flows are completed and deals are operationally ready for implementation

  • Leading escalations among various departments like PCM, GL, credit, IT, etc.

  • Implementing KPIs for each deal, tracking and report performance against KPIs and driving reporting metrics designed to monitor progress for project scope

  • Collaborating with Bid Management team ensuring RFP response deadlines are met with accuracy on pricing the solution

  • Directing quoting centers upon defined solution and drive accurate quoting requirements implemented into relevant quoting tools and drive final pricing outcome for RFP responses

  • Establishing repeatable solutions and/or processes used to complete a project.

  • Owning and troubleshoot any issues arising out of quoting process with appropriate groups

  • Aligning with project management teams on post signature activities to ensure a proper handoff to Quick Start or lead and manage post signature order creation and submission activities in close collaboration with our customers and partnering project management team(s)\'

  • Providing feedback and participate in solving for custom solution opportunities and bringing them into a position where they may be offered for future deals 

What we are looking for: 

You'll need to have:

  • Bachelor’s degree or relevant work experience. 

  • Experience developing and responding to RFPs, interviewing prospective business partners and service providers and performing scope reviews.

  • Fluency in English, written and verbal.


Even better if you have one or more of the following:

  • A masters degree.

  • Understanding of VES products and solutions including but not limited to: Private IP, EVPL, EPL, VPLS, SDWAN, VNS, PWG, Wave, Secure Gateway, VoIP solutions, Managed Services, Cloud services and Security, 

  • Vast awareness of the telecom market (i.e. Competition, trends, etc.)

  • Expertise in all departments involved in processing a quote/order

  • Understanding CPE elements required for solution including device types, licenses, etc.

  • Expertise in Verizon’s Managed Services and capabilities.

  • Understanding wireless service components and capabilities

  • Experience leading projects or work initiatives

  • Customer engagement or collaboration experience. 

  • Three or more years of project management experience with review and delivery of complex technology solutions.

  • Experience in working with cross functional teams to include potential or current customers.
