General Summary:

Global lead and member of the senior leadership team in Automated Driving engineering organization, responsible for developing and delivering Qualcomm Reference Platform (QRP) product from systems, software, safety, and deployment perspectives. In this role, you will lead OEM and Tier1 engagements from engineering perspective, partner closely with core engineering leads from different areas to build a competitive AD product, and drive the future needs based on customer feedback and global deployment experiences.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's/PhD Degree in Engineering, Computer Science or related field. 

  • 15+ years of Systems Engineering or related work experience. 

  • 10+ years of experience in developing and leading AD/ADAS products

  • 6+ years of experience working in a large matrixed organization. 

  • 6+ years of supervisory experience.

  • 3+ years of work experience in a role requiring interaction with executive leadership (e.g., Vice President level and above).

  • 2+ years of working with operating budgets and/or project financials.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Leverages expert Systems knowledge and experience to implement and oversee the research, design, development, simulation, and/or validation of systems-level software, hardware, architecture, algorithms, and solutions while ensuring system-level requirements and standards are met.

  • Oversees the functional analysis that drives requirements and specifications and defines and aligns with standards for hardware and software.

  • Leads multiple teams in the analysis and development of system level design including requirements, interface definition, functional/performance definition, and implementation of a new system or modification of an existing system.

  • Collaborates with high-level representatives from other functions internally (e.g., testing group, product group, customers) and externally to develop and execute system design.   

  • Creates overarching system strategy to direct work for multiple project teams; translates strategy into a strong execution plan.

  • Develops and implements standards for the triage of problems at the system level; presents results of testing and debugging to internal and external stakeholders.

  • Decision-making is critical in nature and impacts program, product, or project success.

  • Requires verbal and written communication skills to convey highly complex and/or detailed information. May require strong negotiation and influence with large groups or high-level constituents.

  • Oversees budgets, schedules, and performance standards for multiple departments or functional areas.

  • Has a great degree of influence over key organizational decisions (e.g., is making or directly making key decisions that will have substantial impact over the organization).

  • Tasks often require multiple steps which can be performed in various orders; extensive planning, problem-solving, and prioritization must occur to complete the tasks effectively.

Minimum Qualifications:

•    Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 10+ years of Systems Engineering or related work experience.
OR
Master's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 9+ years of Systems Engineering or related work experience.
OR
PhD in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 8+ years of Systems Engineering or related work experience.
