Customers expect our networks to perform at a high level all the time. With the increase in RAN network layers and complexity, the amount of data points to analyze has grown exponentially. That’s where you come in. You will automate network and data performance issues via software means in order to resolve and maintain optimum service for our customers efficiently and reliably. The work you’ll be doing will directly impact customer satisfaction and help keep us ahead of the competition.
Designing and planning the Radio Frequency Network for Verizon LTE and 5G which includes RF analysis, search area issuance, candidate assessment, and approvals.
Redesigning mature network areas to minimize capacity constraints and improve SINR while working with other areas of the network to ensure performance fixes/initiatives are in place.
Using internal tools (FUZE, ATOLL) to process regulatory compliance.
Performing Macro/Small Cell Design/In Building design including antenna selection and placement, utilizing knowledge of 5G, LTE, CDMA 1x, EVDO, and microwave to contribute in network design are key responsibilities.
Working on new cell sites, making sure the site is properly integrated into the network and optimized for peak performance.
You'll need to have:
Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of work experience.
Four or more years of relevant work experience.
Willingness to travel up to 25% of the time.
A valid driver's license.
Even better if you have one or more of the following:
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science. Ideally, a Master’s degree.
Five or more years of experience in the cellular or telecommunications industry with direct experience in RF Design & Optimization.
Solid knowledge of RF theory and practice as well as LTE/VoLTE Technology.
