What you'll be doing...

The Senior Engineer will be responsible for playing the Techno functional lead role for Verizon’s Global SAP S/4 HANA and Supply Chain function. As a lead you will collaborate with stakeholders across Verizon Global Supply Chain, Sourcing and Procurement teams to create unified and global solutions that enable us to optimize spend, increase process efficiency, report externally, all the while strengthening our controls. 

This role will play a key part in transforming Verizon's current Supply Chain process to a more standard Global design. Your role as SAP Supply Chain lead will also be to collaborate with a large team of Verizon Global Process Owners, Platform & shared services team, Implementation partners and vendors to deliver transformative solutions in the Global Supply Chain space. 

This role will specifically focus on but not limited to Inventory management, Sourcing, Procurement, Intercompany transfers, Inventory planning, Reporting. Deep knowledge of Supply chain end-end process, external system integrations and reporting  are essential skills for this role to deliver cross functional ERP implementations.

Responsibilities:

  • Leading the full life cycle implementation of SAP Supply chain modules, including requirements gathering, architecture and solution design, configuration, development and testing. 

  • Displaying deep understanding of the Supply Chain functions (Collaboration, Planning, Coordination and Execution).

  • Displaying deep understanding of forward and reverse logistics processes. 

  • Displaying detailed understanding of Sourcing, Procurement, Inventory management and planning functions.

  • Displaying thorough understanding of MM Master data attributes including General data and material type, Sales organization and distribution channel, Sales data, tax, valuation data, warehouse management inventory data and storage type.

  • Providing post implementation support and troubleshooting to ensure smooth functioning of the Supply chain functions.

  • Customizing SAP Supply chain and MM modules to meet business requirements.

  • Designing and developing data migration, data replication and interface changes in SAP Supply chain space.

  • Leading the functional specifications creation and approval, developing, testing and implementing process with the platform services team to consume and deliver enhancements/changes.

  • Providing guidance and mentoring the junior resources.

  • Facilitating workshops and training sessions to educate end-users and stakeholders on SAP Supply Chain processes.

  • Staying current with SAP best practices, industry trends and upcoming releases to recommend innovative and AI solutions.

  • Performing and evaluating SOX controls.

What we're looking for…

You'll need to have:

  • Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of work experience. 

  • Four or more years of relevant work experience.

  • Experiences managing ERP supply chain applications.

  • Experience in the multiple SAP Modules (or comparable ERP modules) ECC: FICO, MM, SCM, SD, PS (Project Systems), BI/BO, AP, T&E, Professional Services, Accounts Receivable/Collections

  • Experience managing and implementing ERP and working knowledge of Supply Chain systems.

Even better if you have one or more of the following:

  • Prior ABAP development experience.

  • Prior middleware and SAP integration experience.

  • Working knowledge and prior work experience with SAP Ariba.

  • Agile technical product management experience leveraging Jira or Git.

  • Experience delivering software cross-functional solutions that support and transform business operations.

  • Experience in reverse and forward logistics, 3PL distribution center and warehouse management operations.

  • Ability to develop recommendations, form judgments and make decisions based on existing information.

  • Strong verbal and written skills and an ability to communicate complex technical information in simpler terms.

  • Strong interpersonal skills.

  • The ability to work collaboratively with all levels of the organization.

  • Highly motivated, with the ability to take initiative, set priorities and perform tasks with minimal guidance.

  • Excellent follow-through, attention to detail and time management skills.

  • Experience with business case development and career and talent development.

  • Strong analytical skills, with ability to collect, absorb, and analyze information quickly and independently.

  • Hands on and pragmatic approach to business, processes and user needs.

  • Strong customer focus and ability to recognize impact of decisions on end users.

  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills and ability to interact with team members and external customers

  • Strong presentation skills to all levels of management; ability to communicate complex concepts in a manner that is understood by the audience.

  • Ability to prioritize efforts and tasks in a high volume and fast paced environment.
