General Summary:

Qualcomm’s Employee Communications & Engagement team is looking for an experienced internal communications leader who is passionate about developing and implementing strategies that inform, connect, engage, and inspire our global workforce. The Senior Manager of Employee Communications will work on business unit, corporate function, and enterprise communications, and will play a pivotal role in driving employees’ understanding of our technology, strategy, organization, and culture. This dynamic and seasoned leader will help foster connections between employees and leaders and build company pride by showcasing Qualcomm’s impact on the industry and people’s lives.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree and 9+ years of Employee Communications or related work experience.
OR
Associate's degree and 11+ years of Employee Communications or related work experience.
OR
High School Diploma or equivalent and 13+ years of Employee Communications or related work experience.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Partnering with and supporting senior leaders and executives to craft compelling messages that engage employees and enhance organizational alignment.

  • Advising and counseling leaders on communication strategy, tone, and messaging approaches.

  • Serving as a strategic business partner and providing counsel to organizations and leaders effectively connecting internal communications work to their strategic vision and priorities.

  • Writing and developing compelling, impactful, clear, and succinct messaging for various mediums, including email messages, all-hands meetings, video scripts, FAQs, leadership talking points, news articles and newsletters, and intranet content, and utilizing various channels and digital tools for message distribution.

  • Creating and implementing comprehensive internal communication strategies and plans to support key business initiatives, organizational changes, and M&A.

  • Establishing metrics and using data-driven insights to refine approaches, measure effectiveness, and continuously improve communication strategies.

  • Applying strong knowledge of best practices for all aspects of internal communications.

Minimum qualifications include:

  • Bachelor's or Master’s degree in communications, journalism, marketing, or related field.

  • 7-10 years of experience in communications with a specific focus on internal and/or executive communications, preferably in the technology sector.

  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.

  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to translate complex business and technology concepts into compelling narratives.

  • Proven track record directly supporting leader and executive communications.

  • Strong executive presence, ability to influence senior leaders, and confidence working in high-pressure environments.

  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks, manage time effectively, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

  • Team player with a collaborative mindset, who maintains a calm demeanor under pressure.

  • Equal parts thinker and doer; this role involves both strategy and tactical execution.

  • Highly skilled at navigating confidential and sensitive communications with discretion.

Pay range and Other Compensation & Benefits:

$140,000.00 - $210,000.00

The above pay scale reflects the broad, minimum to maximum, pay scale for this job code for the location for which it has been posted.
