The Corporate Systems Group [CSG]  Organization is an exciting center of excellence supporting all of Verizon. Our team is a catalyst to Verizon's future with a focus on creating networks that move the world forward through the power of emerging technologies. You will act as a thought leader and a forward-leaning partner with your business team to shape, prioritize, and deliver strategy for the business unit across enterprise finance planning teams.

What you’ll be doing...

We are seeking a highly skilled Oracle EPM/EDM Techno-functional expert to build robust financial planning applications. You will leverage the Oracle EPM suite of applications, focusing on EPBCS, EDMCS, and NR, with Groovy as the preferred language for complex business calculations. In this role, you will collaborate with both technical and business teams to define requirements and deliver high-quality EPM planning solutions.

• Demonstrate critical thinking skills and business acumen, with a continuous curiosity to expand their understanding of business, industry, competitive trends, and technology. This will allow them to provide results and insights with proper context.

• Build strong collaborations with business partners to align and prioritize work efforts and deliverables, including negotiating and stakeholder management.

• Participate in developing project timelines, implementation design specifications, system flow diagrams, documentation, testing, and ongoing system support.

• Actively contribute to engineering discussions by sharing opinions, clarifying questions, and fostering an enriching environment.

• Communicate clearly and concisely with stakeholders.

• Mentor and guide team members in analysis, visualization, and presentation skills.

• Provide solutions to existing architecture designs within our current systems.

• Lead engineering discussions and ensure the effective delivery of planned solutions.

• Define and own the product strategy, vision, and roadmap for financial planning capabilities in Oracle EPM for a specific product workstream.

• Effectively manage roadmaps, delivery timelines, and resource planning.

You’ll need to have:

• Bachelor’s or six or more years of experience

• Six or more years of relevant work experience in Oracle EPM and Hyperion Planning

• Four or more years in People Management Role

• Strong Financial Data Exploratory Analysis skills

• Deep understanding of Financial Planning and solution delivery 

• Critical Thinking in Financial Planning practices

• Design & Architecture experience in building data solutions

Even better if you have one or more of the following:

• Knowledge of large-scale software architecture

• Experience in Narrative Reporting, enterprise data management

• Excellent communication skills, both written and oral
