General Summary:

We are seeking a highly experienced and dynamic Tax Senior Manager with a specialized focus in Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A). This role offers the opportunity to be an integral member of the global tax team focusing on key strategies for high-profile M&A projects. The ideal candidate is a seasoned tax professional with deep expertise in corporate transactions, a passion for tackling complex tax issues, and the ability to engage and guide cross-functional teams throughout an M&A transaction.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree.
• 7+ years of Finance, Accounting, or related work experience.

*Completed advanced degrees in a relevant field may be substituted for up to two years (Master’s = one year, Doctorate = two years) of work experience.

A candidate for this job should feel comfortable supporting tax planning and structuring for mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, and reorganizations, working across the organization in collaboration with internal stakeholders and external advisors to ensure tax compliance and strategic alignment for M&A transactions and demonstrate an ability to translate tax technical concepts to both a tax and non-tax audience, delivering messages verbally and in writing.  You should have strong analytical and problem-solving skills and a willingness to adapt to changing business environment.  Projects will include: assisting with M&A due diligence issues, structuring and integration activities; participating on cross-functional teams to identify opportunities and mitigate risks stemming from M&A activities; analyzing emerging tax laws and legislation that may impact M&A activities and working with various members of the tax organization to consider how M&A could impact Qualcomm’s existing tax structure, attributes and tax profile. 

The ideal candidate will be a highly reliable self-starter with excellent verbal and written communication skills, be detail oriented, and have the flexibility and ability to work on time-sensitive issues under strict deadlines. The candidate must have a strong ability and desire to network across functions within the Company.  

Qualifications:

  • CPA/JD preferred. MST and/or LLM a plus.

  • At least 10 years of tax experience in a corporate tax department, accounting firm or law firm, or combination thereof, with a focus on M&A.

  • Team player with strong influencing and communication skills.

  • In-depth knowledge of federal and international tax concepts and their impact on corporate transactions.

  • Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

  • Strong ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.

  • Bachelors degree.

Pay range and Other Compensation & Benefits:

$155,800.00 - $233,600.00

The above pay scale reflects the broad, minimum to maximum, pay scale for this job code for the location for which it has been posted.
