Job Summary
Under general supervision, uses specialized knowledge and skills obtained through training and experience to process loans that may be to individuals, trusts, or entities and complete tasks associated with preparation of the loan approval and/or closing documents. May lead the work of others. Guidance is provided to perform varied work that is somewhat difficult in character requiring some evaluation, originality, and ingenuity to make moderately complex decisions. Resolves complex problems or recommends solutions to complex problems. Contact with financial advisors and clients is required to obtain, clarify, or provide facts and information and to identify, research, and resolve problems.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Knowledge of
Advanced concepts, practices, and procedures of loan processing and documentation.
Principles of banking and finance.
Financial markets and products.
For Mortgage position, Fannie Mae, and Freddie Mac underwriting guidelines.
For Mortgage position, multi-state real estate, closing, and title practices.
Federal and State lending laws.
Loan origination software packages.
Skill in
Processing the most complex loan applications.
Verifying loan applications and supporting documents for accuracy and completeness.
Preparing loan approval and/or may prepare loan closing packages.
Preparing records and reports.
Performing advanced loan calculations.
Operating standard office equipment and using required software applications.
Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills.
Reviewing and interpreting residential and/or consumer documentation and terms.
Ability to
Read, interpret, analyze, and apply information from loan application documents.
Interpret and apply policies.
Organize, manage, and track multiple detailed tasks and assignments with frequently changing priorities in a fast-paced work environment.
Communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
Work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.
Lead others in handling stressful situations and providing a high level of service in a calm and professional manner.
Establish and maintain effective working relationships.

Education/Previous Experience
Associate%26rsquos degree and a minimum of five (5) years of loan processing experience Bachelor%26rsquos degree preferred.
OR ~
An equivalent combination of education, training, or experience.
