General Summary:
The QCT Software Program Management team has an immediate opening for a Program Manager/Senior to work in partnership with engineering and product leadership to manage large scale commercial projects in our Automotive software organization. The ideal candidate has a large breadth of technical experience and leadership skills. • Program management of the Automotive Long Tail Support (LTS) SW activities spanning across multiple Telematics 4G/5G chipsets
• Plan, manage & control the Plan of Record (POR) for technology deliverables for Software products for Automotive SoCs (System on Chips) by adhering to implementation schedule, scope, and budget
• Translate the organizational strategy and product roadmaps into successful programs,
• Drive decisions necessary for program delivery by partnering with program sponsors and organizational leadership. Manage priorities based on Organization/QCT Strategy
• Work closely with Product Management, Technology Core Teams, Systems, Software, and other leads and program managers to ensure successful and timely delivery of a quality product.
• Reporting regularly to Sr. management on key product development milestones, SW metrics, risk mitigation plans
• Risk management and disciplined management of information to internal and external key stakeholders
• Organize and lead interdepartmental meetings, to set project milestones, define project tasks, establish program policies and processes, and allocate resources.
• Ensures change control, priority changes, development reviews, and other product development processes are effectively implemented.
• Enable real-time visibility on project schedules and KPIs to management with dashboards and reports
• Supports the adoption of processes by applying best practices and identifying and recommending process improvement opportunities within respective programs.
• Keep track of Budget for the SW program
• Should be able to work with minimal supervisionMinimum Qualifications
• Overall 16+ years of Industry Experience in Embedded Software Product Development
• 8+ years of Program Management experience managing and delivering complex multi-stakeholder programs,
• Experience in working with Modem platforms for automotive or mobile domain, is highly desired.
• Strong communication/presentation skills as this role demands a lot of interactions with Sr. Management
• Solid understanding of Software Development Processes and Life Cycle
• 8+ years working with PM tools for requirement management, resource management, budget management and tracking project financials actuals vs. estimation.Educational Requirements: -
• B.Tech/B.E/M.Tech/M.E degree in Computer Science/Electronics Engineering or equivalentPreferred Qualifications: -
• PMP Certification
• Exposure to ASPICE process assessment model
Minimum Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
• 4+ years of Program Management or related work experience.
• 3+ years of working with operating budgets, resources, and/or project financials.
