The Opportunity:

The Sr. Service Now Developer is responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining ServiceNow solutions. They will work with teammates and customers to gather requirements and develop solutions. They must have a strong understanding of the ServiceNow platform and experience in application development using a variety of languages and SDLC best practices.

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the continuous review of new ServiceNow modules, other commercially available software to ensure the ServiceNow platform and tools remain current Responsible for the configuration and administration of solutions within the ServiceNow environment across the enterprise while ensuring system health
  • Configure, customize, script, and develop the ServiceNow platform using industry best practices
  • Work with team members, internal customers, and external vendors to design, configure, test, document, and deploy system changes, including version upgrades, to the environment
  • Meet with service owners to gather specifications, document requirements, and deliver product releases to meet project objectives and business needs
  • Build workflows from service owner requirements including requests, request items and tasks
  • Advanced scripting of business rules, UI Policies, Client Scripts, ACLs, Workflow Activities
  • Create views and reports as needed to illustrate service performance and demonstrate business value
  • Developing and collaborating as part of an DevOps team
  • Develop clear and concise technical & process documentation
  • Understand new ServiceNow features and unused module functionality to drive platform expansion and adoption

Qualifications:

Required: 

  • 3-10 years of ServiceNow development, configuration, and/or administration experience
  • Expert level knowledge of Web 2.0 Technologies (Java Scripting, XML, HTML, AJAX, CSS, HTTP), PowerShell, SaaS applications, network operations (networks, protocols, and email [SMTP, POP3])
  • Intermediate experience with the software development lifecycle process, including requirement analysis, quality assurance, design, scheduling, implementation, issue tracking, version control and deployment
  • Bachelor’s Degree in related field and /or 5+ years of experience in IT Operations

Desired:

  • SNOW Certified System administrator, SNOW Certified Application Developer, SNOW Certified Implementation Specialist
  • General understanding of ITIL methodologies, ITSM concepts, enterprise IT architecture, relational databases
  • ITIL v4 certification

Pay Range: There are a host of factors that can influence final salary including, but not limited to, geographic location, Federal Government contract labor categories and contract wage rates, relevant prior work experience, specific skills and competencies, education, and certifications. The proposed salary range for this position is:

$61,600 - $129,300
