General Summary:
You will be part of the SW team responsible for object fusion which is part of the next-generation L2-L4 Automated driving software stack. You will work on a mix of production and demo development spanning the immediate-to-5+ year product horizon across different levels of automation.
Teams working on object fusion are agile, cross-site, cross-functional and have end-to-end responsibility on the SW level. You will jointly own the object fusion algorithms, their implementation, integration, quality, and scaling during the entire product lifecycle - from concept through to implementation, going to production, and addressing post-production defects.
What you'll do?
Object fusion development for ADAS/AD features
Conceptualization, implementation, test, and evaluation of object fusion algorithms based on traces from testing cars
Adaptation and tuning of sensor fusion algorithms based on new requirements from service consumers
Analysis of error reports / defects, evaluation and validation of implemented solutions
Analysis and evaluation of sensor performance
Creation, adaption, and calibration of sensor models
Adaptation of SW architecture to different project needs
Supporting customer technical demonstrations
Review code developed by other developers and provide feedback to ensure best practices (e.g., coding style guidelines, readability, testability, efficiency)
Tooling adaptation to ease daily development work in object service
University Degree in Signal Processing, Computer Science, Statistics, Electrical Engineering or equivalent technical field of study
At least 5 years of experience as SW engineer coding in modern C++
Grow mindset, team oriented, self-motivated and proactive
Hands on mentality
Problem-solving skills and the ability to ‘troubleshoot’ issues
Ability to adapt to a rapidly developing project environment
Very good verbal and written communication skills being able to select the right level of technical details
Very good programming experience (C++, Python)
Knowledge of software development tools and technologies (IDE, git, GitHub, Bazel)
SW testing and debugging
Time management
Ability to estimate work packages
Understanding of software engineering best practices (e.g. clean code, SW design patterns)
General understanding of Sensor Fusion processing pipeline
Theoretical background in object tracking, Bayesian inference, state estimation and data association
Nice to have
Good knowledge in statistical analysis
Familiarity with Automotive standards (ISO-26262, ASPICE, MISRA, AutoSAR, etc...)
Experience in Requirements Engineering
Experience in developing real-time applications on target hardware
