The Opportunity:

CACI is seeking a Software Engineer interested in development of CACI's AI Chat/GPT applications deployed within a Cloud-First AWS environment. This Software Engineer will develop the GPT solution itself in addition to integrations with other CACI data sources. They will also act as a Software Engineering SME on the CSDE (Common Software Development Environment) team to ensure the team is following best practices and able to support development by other programs.

Responsibilities:

  • Take ownership of research, design, and development of software systems using industry proven design patterns and leveraging open-source products when possible.

  • Research, design, and develop software systems using industry proven design patterns and leveraging open-source products when possible.

  • Staying educated on current technology trends is strongly encouraged to be able to provide new and innovative solutioning as a recognized subject matter expert to our team and customer advocates.

  • Software development problems faced are difficult and often complex.

  • Involved in all stages of the application lifecycle to include systems engineering and requirement analysis, technical design, system integration, implementation, and deployment.

  • Supports management teams in defining the technical vision of the program.

  • Effectively collaborate within an agile team to execute established development processes and tasks which is paramount to yours and the team's success.

  • Work remotely in collaboration with the CSDE team.

Qualifications:

Education: Typically has a University Degree (BA/BS) or equivalent experience and minimum 7 years of related work experience.

Required: 

  • 5+ years of object-oriented software development experience

  • Experience building web apps

  • Strong understanding of Linux environments

  • Experience with AWS services

  • Familiarity with current AI-based tools and trends.

Desired:

  • CI/CD pipeline experience using GitLab.

  • Experience with AWS Bedrock, CloudFormation, Lambda, and Sagemaker

  • Experience with the Go / Python / React / TypeScript

  • Experience with container technology (e.g. Docker) development and deployment.

  • Experience with Kubernetes for container orchestration.

  • AWS Certified Developer (Associate or Professional)

  • Relevant Kubernetes Certification (Certified Kubernetes Application Developer, Kubernetes and Cloud Native Associate)

  • Experience with Microsoft Power Platform

  • Familiarity with NoSQL databases like DynamoDB, MongoDB, Cassandra.

  • Familiarity with Postgres SQL

  • CompTIA Security+

The proposed salary range for this position is:

$89,500-$188,000
