This position will follow our hybrid work model, we expect the selected candidate to be in office 2-3 days a week at one of the following office locations: St. Petersburg, FL;



Raymond James seeks a dynamic Senior Data Engineer to join our innovative Enterprise Data Team in our ambitious project to build a cutting-edge wealth management platform. This pivotal role involves leading the development of high-performance Data Integration solutions and collaborating extensively with multiple application development and shared services teams. You can be part of our forward-thinking team at our Saint Petersburg, FL headquarters.

Job Requirements

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Knowledge of:

Microsoft SQL Server: Extensive experience with SSIS and T-SQL.

Cloud Platforms: Experience with AWS is highly desirable experience with Microsoft Azure is a plus.

Master Data Management (MDM): Understanding MDM principles is a plus.

Financial Services: Industry knowledge is an advantage.


Skills in:

Database and ETL Solutions: Proven experience with various database platforms and ETL Architecture.

SQL Server: Expertise in SQL Server (or similar DB platforms), ETL Architecture, and Development.

Performance Optimization: Proficient in optimizing ETL processes and databases (SQL Server %26ndash SQL, T-SQL, or similar).

OLAP: Advanced experience with Microsoft SQL Server Analysis Services.

Data Integration: Skilled in designing and implementing efficient Data Integration patterns/technologies.

Low-Latency Solutions: Experience in developing low-latency Data Integration solutions.


Abilities to:

Problem-Solving: Identify and resolve issues, compare data from various sources, and draw sound conclusions.

Effective Communication: Convey information clearly and engagingly to individuals or groups.

Strategic Decision-Making: Use sound approaches to develop solutions and make decisions aligned with available facts and constraints.

Technical Proficiency: Maintain a high level of technical and professional skill, staying current with industry trends.

Collaboration: Build and maintain effective working relationships to achieve team goals.

Client Focus: Prioritize client needs, developing and sustaining productive client relationships.

Flexibility: Occasionally work non-standard shifts, including nights, weekends, or on-call duties.


Education and Experience:

Bachelor's Degree: In Computer Science, MIS, Business, or a related field.

Experience: As approved by HR, three (3) to five (5) years of relevant experience or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
