Job Description

Zachary Piper Solutions is currently seeking a Senior System Engineer (Data Protection) who will support a government contract located in Washington, DC.

Responsibilities for the SR. System Engineer:

  •          Design, implement, optimize, maintain, upgrade, and document the Data Protection (e.g. backup, snapshot, contingency plans) solutions. 

  •          Ensure the restoration of a virtual machine on each network and each location meet the Recovery Point Objective (RPO) and Recovery Time Objective (RTO).

  •          Perform the operation and maintenance activities of a systems administrator.

    Qualifications for Sr. System Engineer:

    • 10+ years of Systems Engineering/Administration experience
    • Expertise with Data protection systems (ie NetApp, Comvault, etc)
    • Bachelor's Degree required; advanced degree, preferred
    • Infrastructure Certifications, preferred
    • Top Secret Clearance

    Compensation for the Sr. System Engineer:

    • $110,000 – $140,000 *Depending on Experience.
