Reports To: Director of Asset Integrity

POSITION SUMMARY:
The person in this position learns and performs tasks associated with maintenance and repair of fracturing equipment by performing the following duties.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Learns all the disciplines of rigging up equipment on location.
Performs pre/post job inspections of frac equipment.
Prepares shipping papers and documentation for transfer of inventory.
Maintains accurate inventory of maintenance trailers.
Monitors and operates pumping equipment during well stimulation job.
Gauges fluids on all frac equipment.
Prepares, maintains, and repairs pumping and support equipment
Works with crew to ensure they have parts needed to complete maintenance.
Conduct work observations of JSA safe work procedures and document them as they pertain to maintenance procedures.
Complete work orders and other paperwork as required.
Ensure good housekeeping standards are met at all times
Perform proper oil sampling, post failure strategies and root cause investigations
Conducts work in accordance with safety rules, standard operating procedures, and workplace instructions.
Performs other related duties as assigned to assist with successful operations and business continuity.
Qualifications
POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE LEVEL
Able to successfully pass a pre-employment medical and drug test
Relevant industry experience is an asset
Effective interpersonal skills (spoken and written communication)
High school graduate (preferred)
Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Outlook to complete day to day operations.
Valid Driver's License.
Heavy Equipment Technician certification preferred but not required. Dual certifications preferred
QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Excellent ability to think quickly and make the most effective decisions in high pressure situations
Strong leadership and customer service skills
Mechanical knowledge of hydraulics components, circuits, and diagnoses utilizing schematics
Understanding of ISO standards in regard to oil sampling and report reading
Able to focus on root cause fact finding
Able to build and execute on a post failure strategy
Have the ability to diagnose and repair electrical circuits with aid of Electrical Dept
Ability to work in a team environment with interpersonal communication skills written and oral
Strong ability to organize daily tasks and work within defined timelines to meet operational requirements
Proven ability to perform confidently, accurately, professionally and thoroughly in a fast-paced detail oriented environment while supporting all management decisions
Able to respond quickly and professionally to Field Operations observations and recommendations on safety and maintenance issues
The Mechanic position requires the employee to work within a team concept to successfully complete assigned tasks. It is essential that the Mechanic take instruction well and interact with other employees in a positive manner within the framework of assigned work groups.

Mechanics are frequently required to walk, sit, climb, reach, bend, crawl, lift, balance, stoop, handle materials, and squat/kneel. The employee must regularly lift and move up to forty-nine (49) pounds independently , and occasionally up to 100 lbs. with a team-lift. Mechanics work indoors/outdoors, frequently during inclement weather, while performing labor intensive duties. The work environment includes exposure to hazardous materials and operating conditions. Given these conditions employees are required to wear company mandated personal protective equipment and must strictly adhere to safety policy.
Work hours may include early morning, late afternoon/evening hours, and weekends in any combination depending on job demands. The work schedule can also require extended out-of-town assignments for two to three weeks at a time.
