Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking a Software Developer/Database Designer with proven expertise in .Net programming MVC, SQL, Oracle PL/SQL, and Blazor to join our team on-site in Norfolk, VA. The ideal candidate is passionate about tackling technical challenges, thrives in a team environment, and can independently handle tasks when necessary.
Responsibilities of the Software Developer/Database Designer:
- Provide subject matter expertise in software application and database design to support the development and maintenance of the SIPR NIODB, related applications, and data products.
- Maintain and support current programming languages (e.g., C#, JQuery, Javascript, JSON, Python)
- Assist in converting existing data elements to align with customer Database Design Description (DBDD) and Entity Relation Diagrams (ERDs)
- Support the maintenance, security, and documentation of both existing and newly developed software code.
- Assist in testing, verification, and validation of data products and data management applications.
- Develop Plans of Action and Milestones (POAM) and related documentation to support Fleet requirements and related IO capabilities.
- Utilize Azure DevOps to manage Kanban boards, repositories, testing, and pipelines in two-week sprints.
Qualifications of the Software Developer/Database Designer:
- 5+ years of experience in software development, with a preference for experience in Oracle Relational Database Management System (RDBMS) development and SQL development/maintenance.
- 2+ years of experience in MS .NET Application development/maintenance.
- 2+ years of experience with XML, including the use of XML schemas and XSLT to support parsing and importing external data products into an Oracle RDBMS.
- Must hold a DOD 8570 CSWF certification: Security+ CE.
- Must be able to obtain an MS .NET Framework certification within 6 months.
- Active U.S. Government Top-Secret clearance with SCI eligibility is required
Compensation for the Software Developer/Database Designer:
- Pay Range: $150,000-$200,000 **depending on experience**
