The Opportunity: Lead a group of experienced software engineers on a Cyber Research & Development team with impact to development, planning and implementation on for programs, quality management system, process development and improvement and overall satisfaction.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop complex plans and execute customer funded tasks within budget and on scheduled using modern software development

  • Deliver external and internal customer station by demonstrating exemplary leadership and measuring results

  • Operate effectively and comfortably in a team environment, as a team member of a larger team and as a team leader

  • Provide leadership and oversight to include selection, performance management, career development, and workload management

  • Promote open communication among your team and across team boundaries

  • Promote change and innovation in support of the organization’s objectives

  • Cultivate and reinforce appropriate group values, norms and behaviors and provide guidance on employee development, performance, and productivity

    Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, or Computer Engineering and 8-10 years of related experience or an equivalent combination of education, skills, and experience

  • Demonstrated ability to provide strong leadership in establishing organization goals, implementing value-added process improvements and motivation of a highly skilled team while maintaining a strong customer focus

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills

  • In-depth experience in software engineering and development for communications systems, including architectural innovation and technical leadership

  • Broad experience with the software engineering process from requirements reviews, code inspection to component delivery and sign-off

    Desired

  • Development experience on multiple hardware platforms utilizing either Linux or Unix-based operating systems

  • Knowledge of IP telephony, signaling, call processing, real time operating systems, and hardware interface software (e.g. device drivers, low-level embedded SW)

  • Master’s degree

    Pay Range: There are a host of factors that can influence final salary including, but not limited to, geographic location, Federal Government contract labor categories and contract wage rates, relevant prior work experience, specific skills and competencies, education, and certifications.     The proposed salary range for this position is:

    $114,600 - 252,100 USD
