Job Summary:

Zachary Piper Solutions is in search of a skilled and driven Software Tester to be part of our IT Services team on a primarily remote basis. The successful candidate will be tasked with verifying that software requirements are fulfilled, guaranteeing software is free from defects, assisting with user acceptance testing, and establishing automated regression testing for various development initiatives. The selected candidate must be a clearable U.S. citizen.

Responsibilities of Software Tester:

•       Uphold quality standards in all custom software development.

•       Outline and prioritize testing activities throughout the software development lifecycle.

•       Develop, evaluate, and prioritize test strategies based on product requirements, developer releases, and stakeholder input.

•       Ensure the reliability, accuracy, and testability of all product requirements.

•       Author and carry out test strategies, and document the outcomes of these tests.

•       Set up automated regression testing suites.

•       Identify and troubleshoot assigned defects and issues.

•       Demonstrate the ability to work both collaboratively and independently, with strong verbal and written communication skills, quick learning ability, problem-solving skills, and professionalism.

•       Collaborate with different business units to align testing with user requirements.

•       Continuously learn and apply emerging technologies.

Qualifications of Software Tester:

•       3-5 years of experience in quality assurance for web-based systems.

•       3-5 years of experience in creating and executing test strategies.

•       3-5 years of experience in documenting test outcomes, filing defect reports, and working with development teams to fix defects.

•       1-3 years of experience with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.

•       Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.

•       Experience with test automation tools and practices.

•       Familiarity with accessibility testing and standards (WCAG, Section 508).

•       Experience in leading user acceptance testing sessions.

•       Experience in writing unit tests.

•       MUST BE CLEARABLE U.S. CITIZEN

Compensation for the Software Tester:

•       Salary Range: $80,000-$120,000 *depending on experience*

•       Benefit Package: Cigna Medical, Dental, Vision, 401k, etc.

•       Remote Flexible Structure (occasional all-hands-on-deck meetings)
