General Summary:

We are looking for a Community Engagement Manager to join the digital marketing team to manage our Snapdragon Insiders communities across our channels. The ideal candidate will have experience engaging with fan communities, responding to social media posts, and communicating with consumers on Discord, Reddit, and other online forums. Reporting to the Snapdragon Insiders Program Lead, the right candidate must have the ability to quickly identify engagement opportunities with the existing Snapdragon Insiders Community and potential fans within our OEM partner communities, brand partner communities (Manchester United, Mercedes-AMG PETRONAS F1 Team, and Snapdragon Pro Series), and other relevant online communities.

Responsibilities include:

  • Monitoring brand channels on Reddit, Discord, TikTok, Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn, and Instagram – and recommending appropriate engagements and ideating opportunities to nurture community
  • Becoming highly familiar with core Snapdragon products and technologies so as to be an authoritative voice in the community
  • Engaging with Snapdragon Insiders on our Discord server
  • Identifying and liaising with Snapdragon Insiders who should be rewarded with merchandise
  • Monitoring trends in our own community and adjacent communities and using this to inform ideas for content and recruitment
  • Responding to social enquiries and replies, writing and editing social copy as appropriate, and drafting responses that follow the tone/voice and brand guidelines
  • Strategically following and engaging with customers (OEMs), partner influencer, and media accounts, independently recommending opportunities for engagement
  • Surfacing trends from within the community and communicating insights to the team, developing listening reports
  • Following, monitoring, and engaging in conversations about or related to our brand in non-owned communities on Reddit, Discord, and other social platforms

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree and 3+ years of Communications, Marketing, Public Relations, or related work experience.
OR
Associate's degree and 5+ years of Communications, Marketing, Public Relations, or related work experience.
OR
High School Diploma or equivalent and 7+ years of Communications, Marketing, Public Relations, or related work experience.

*Completed advanced degrees in a relevant field may be substituted for up to two years (Master’s = one year, Doctorate = two years) of work experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 1-3 years of social media and community building experience
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
  • Specific expertise and experience managing a Discord server
  • Experience managing and engaging social communities on Reddit, Facebook, Twitter, & Instagram
  • Strong copywriting skills and the ability to understand what content works on social media
  • Experience working with a social media management system like Sprout Social
  • Experience working with project management tools like Workfront
  • Ideally an interest in technology, mobile gaming, Manchester United and Mercedes AMG Petronas F1 Team or soccer and F1 more generally
  • Experience with social media in the tech industry
  • Solid project management skills & strong attention to detail
  • Ability to travel and work non-traditional hours as needed
  • Responsive, responsible, and able to use data to make smart decisions
  • Willingness to learn and interest in problem-solving
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
