Support all activity related to fulfillment for Network orders shipping from our outsourced Distribution Centers. Act as primary liaison between Verizon and transportation carriers, tracking/monitoring and reporting on Network Transportation (inclusive of RAN, Fios/Core, Dedicated Fleet, VBG) shipments. Analyze and identify operational and cost savings opportunities related to shipping processes and transportation. Responsible for claims management, enhancing end customer experience, and reducing carrier’s time in transit. Responsible for identifying, developing and modifying transportation reports for Supply Chain ensuring all information is accurate. Support various Supply Chain projects related to Distribution and transportation. Onsite presence in the distribution centers to support written assessments for management that detail findings.
Managing transportation carrier reporting to ensure Network orders are shipped and delivered to meet the customers expected delivery times/dates and contractual service levels.
Facilitating and attending weekly/monthly calls providing the transportation carrier’s updates on weekly order trending, order volume changes and discrepancies issues that have occurred, implementing corrective action to avoid further issues.
Overseeing the daily flow of Network orders. Ensure best-cost transportation methods are arranged to meet the expected delivery times and Verizon security requirements. Analyze transportation data and identify opportunities to improve operational processes and reduce transportation cost.
Leading implementation of these improvements.
Developing and maintaining accurate weekly and monthly reporting of carrier performance, freight expenditure, ordering patterns and transportation cost for expedited shipments.
Identifying and resolving any reporting discrepancies.
Developing new transportation reports to align with continually changing business directives.
Tracking and monitoring transportation carrier loss/damage percentages and dollars as well as claim reimbursement.
Facilitating and supporting various Network special projects and initiatives. Observe warehouse shipping processes and identify opportunities for business efficiencies.

You’ll need to have:
Three or more years of relevant experience required, demonstrated through work experience and/or military experience.
Experience leading projects and handling multiple tasks to meet required deadlines on time.
Experience creating and analyzing reporting trends and performance.
Even better if you have one or more of the following:
A degree in Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain, or Business.
Masters degree.
Warehouse, distribution, fulfillment center, or supply chain experience.
Experience managing all modes of transportation.
Effectively embraces change and adapts to current business needs.
Excellent computer skills, including all MS Office products.
Strong organizational, interpersonal and follow up skills.
Ability to identify and resolve problems effectively.
Strong customer service skills required with internal customers.
Works well independently and with team members.
Ability to communicate effectively throughout multiple levels of the organization.
