Job Description

Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking a Sr. Cloud Engineer to support a Department of Defense (DoD) program in Ft. Liberty, NC. This engineer will be working to restore and enhance cloud capabilities in support of the warfighter. This is a hybrid position and will require 2-3 days/week on site at Fort Liberty.

*Secret clearance required, and will upgrade to TS/SCI

Responsibilities of the Sr. Cloud Engineer:

• Strong technical background with a very good understanding of core IT concepts.
• Proven skills, experience and career path focused on Cloud Services and Solutions (AWS, Azure, GCP, Oracle Cloud).
• SME knowledge with modern DevOps solutions, IaC concept (e.g., Terraform, ARM Templates, Cloud Formation).
• Proven experience with containers and containers orchestration (e.g., Kubernetes, OpenShift, EKS/AKS/GKE).
• Experience with CI/CD pipeline running on Azure DevOps, GitHub, Gitlab or similar.

Requirements for the Sr. Cloud Engineer:

• DOD 8570 IAT Level II required (Level III preferred).
• BS or equivalent experience + 6-8 yrs experience.
• Active Secret Clearance to be considered

Compensation for the Sr. Cloud Engineer:

• $150,000 - $170,000 *depending on experience*
