Verizon Value segment is about multi brands prepaid segment handles projects related Prepaid sales and service experience with the order management in Verizon Consumer Group. The work you'll be doing will support multiple business-critical needs for Value segment Organization.
What you’ll be doing...
The work you'll be doing is to support mission and business-critical applications within Verizon. You will be enhancing the customer experience and building world class solutions. Under the mentorship of a technical lead who would be supporting you on delivery. You will develop, implement and maintain this important application.
Designing, developing and maintaining applications by evaluating client needs, analyzing requirements and developing software systems.
Executing full software development life cycle (SDLC) – concept, design, build, deploy, test, release and support.
Design and develop Microservices systems with Java, Spring or Node.js and other full stack technologies
Testing and coordinating all microservices/interfaces
Ensuring code delivered as per security guidelines such as OWASP, DAST, Source Code.
Ensuring application development sprint cycle is on track and adjusting the plan to meet release timelines.
Acting independently, at the same time displaying excellent collaboration within and between various teams.
Understanding the domain knowledge and adapting to an agile environment.
Building reusable code and libraries for future use in front end and back end technologies.
This hybrid role will have a defined work location that includes work from home and assigned office days as set by the manager.
What we’re looking for...
You are curious about new technologies and the possibilities they create. You enjoy the challenge of supporting applications while exploring ways to improve upon the technology. You are driven and motivated, with good communication and analytical skills.
You'll need to have:
Bachelor’s degree and four or more years of work experience.
Three or more years of experience as Springboot/Microservices developer
Experience in telecom systems and knowledge of their architectures, technologies, terminology, and implementations.
Experience in development for applications using Java/Spring boot Microservices and full stack technologies.
Knowledge of various open system technologies for applications built on Java/Spring boot, Microservices and full stack technologies.
Experience in working on cloud platforms like GCP, AWS.Work experience with Spring framework and RESTful API services
Experience in supporting and/or implementing complex integration projects
Knowledge of performance testing frameworks including Mocha and Jest.
Excellent troubleshooting and problem solving capabilities
Knowledge of MongoDB and Apache Kafka
Experience in eCommerce Applications Development.
Experience in SDLC and Agile Development
Experience and familiarity with web servers
Even better if you have one or more of the following:
Knowledge on performance tuning, scalability, security for heavy traffic Digital Application.
Experience of cloud-native application development - Docker, Kubernetes.
Experience in building/deploying applications using Git, Maven & Jenkins.
Strong analytical, debugging skills.
Knowledge with OWASP rules and mitigate security vulnerabilities using security tools like Fortify, Sonarqube, Blackduck etc.
Knowledge with Unit testing framework like Junit.
Knowledge monitoring tools like NewRelic, Tapsium.
Ability to understand Agile and DevOps tools and technologies.
Experience working with agile methodologies, such as Kanban, TDD or Scrum.
