Job Description

Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking a Sr. Linux Administrator to join a DoD program located in Rancho Bernardo, CA. The Sr. Linux Administrator will work in a lab environment and help troubleshoot, maintain, and operate 3200 Linux Servers and 20 Windows Servers in support of the NGA. This is supporting a long-term 5 year program that is fully funded and offers opportunity for stability and growth. This is supporting a rotating schedule with every other Friday off!

Responsibilities for the Sr. Linux Administrator include:

• Design, deploy, integrate, and maintain Linux environments, support infrastructure and assist with the migration
• Integrate RHEL and Ubuntu systems, configure new systems, ensure patches are maintained, and ensure compliance and requirements are met
• Develop an operating system for the team and a plan to ensure all systems run smoothly
• Certify log management into a single repository, respond to various client needs, and act as senior lead and escalation point

Required Qualifications for the Sr. Linux Administrator include:

• 5+ years of experience focused on Systems Engineering in Linux environments
• Experience with Linux, RHEL, and Ubuntu
• Sec+ Certification
• Bachelor's Degree
• Top Secret Clearance with SCI

Compensation for the Sr. Linux Administrator include:

• Salary Range: $80,000-150,000 **depending on experience**
