Verizon’s Network Supply Chain Category Intelligence and Strategic Program Implementation Organization is hiring a passionate leader to join this highly visible and impactful team, who creates new value across Verizon’s multi-billion-dollar Network and Technology investment.
As the Senior Manager of Systems Engineering, you will lead the Teardown Lab and Analytics functions. You will lead a small team of analysts, and engineers who model opportunities for Verizon and our partners, from concept to realization. You will also lead cross-functional teams from Network, Sourcing, Supply Chain, and Strategy organizations in order to drive business decisions that influence Verizon’s Network Build.
Leading, developing, training, and attracting a diverse team of managers, analysts, and engineers to operate the Teardown Lab, and Analytics functions.
Facilitating cross-functional collaboration and developing partnerships with Network, Sourcing, Supply Chain, and Strategy teams to align on the needs of the business and execute on priorities.
Setting high expectations, assess employee performance, hold others accountable, take appropriate corrective actions, and coach team members.
Growing the Teardown Lab’s influence and impact across Verizon’s multi-billion dollar investment including but not limited to network, devices, and accessories categories.
Determining the team’s priorities for achieving the most impactful results first, which involves facilitating discussions among diverse perspectives across the team, organization, and beyond.
Building advanced cost, design, risk, and sustainability models that represent realistic opportunities that, with your tenacious leadership, may be realized.
Driving new opportunities into the RAN Category Intelligence function, and supporting the cross-functional team to realize opportunities created.
Partnering and collaborating with other labs including but not limited to maintenance engineering, device technology, network planning, and quality to unlock shared value.
Shaping innovative options from the aforementioned flywheel, by leading collaboration with cross-functional talent to arrive at optimal decisions for key stakeholders.
Realizing impactful win-win strategies, while leveraging advanced influencing skills, and leading results with tenacity and empathy.
Presenting results, strategies, and next steps throughout every milestone to stakeholders, including senior leaders, with confident and clear communication.
Developing new insights from disparate sources of information in order to develop options and strategies for the organization.
Analyzing data representing industry trends and evolving technologies to proactively identify opportunities to minimize risk and support the network build program.
Leading innovative programs that accelerate the vision of the Category Intelligence team including but not limited to spending insights.
Leveraging an assortment of analytics tools including Alteryx, Tableau, and Qlik in order to form new insights.
You’ll need to have:
Six or more years of relevant experience required, demonstrated through one or a combination of work and/or military experience, or specialized training.
Experience and genuine passion for leading high-performing talent.
Experience storytelling and presenting.
Experience managing multiple programs simultaneously.
Advanced Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint experience.
Familiarity with network, sourcing, and procurement tools.
Even better if you have:
Master’s degree.
Best-in-class program management skills, with a keen attention to detail.
Experiences with the design or understanding of electronics from a PCB and component perspective.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Superior listening and influencing skills to commit action on new ideas.
Six Sigma, Design Thinking, Agile, and/or Data Analytics certifications.
Consulting, category management, and/or manufacturing experience.
In-depth knowledge of 5G network hardware, devices, and/or accessories.
