PayPal seeks a dynamic product manager for a pivotal role within the newly established Business Data Products & Solutions team. The Business Data Products & Solutions Team aims to drive quantifiable business value underpinned by high-quality data products and capabilities through a strong commitment to and partnership with the Business Units. 

As part of the Business Data Products & Solutions team, you will be responsible for building and optimizing our core data platform that supports various business-critical applications. This role will work closely with engineering, data science, and other product teams to deliver scalable data solutions. The ideal candidate has a strong background in product management, particularly in data-related products or platforms, and is adept at navigating complex technical challenges while keeping a clear focus on delivering value to users and stakeholders.



 Key Responsibilities

  • Product Strategy & Roadmap: Define the vision, strategy, and roadmap for the data products and solutions, ensuring alignment with business objectives and stakeholder needs.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with engineering, data science, analytics, and business teams to understand requirements, prioritize initiatives, and deliver high-impact solutions.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Communicate the data platform strategy, vision, and progress to key stakeholders, including senior management, to ensure alignment and understanding.
  • User-Centric Product Development: Ensure the platform delivers value to internal and external users by gathering feedback, conducting user research, and iterating on features.
  • KPIs & Success Metrics: Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) for the data products and solutions, ensuring that objectives such as performance, scalability, and user satisfaction are met.
  • Data Governance: Partner with Data Governance, Privacy, and Compliance teams to ensure our products and solutions are within regulatory boundaries. 


Qualifications

  • 4+ years of product management experience, with at least 2 years in a role focused on data platforms, data products, or analytics.
  • Solid understanding of modern data technology (e.g., data lakes, data warehouses, real-time data processing, distributed systems).
  • Familiarity with ETL processes, data modeling, and data governance.
  • Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams, collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders, and manage complex projects.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
  • Experience in agile development methodologies, with the ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong analytical mindset with the ability to use data to drive product decisions and measure success.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, or a related discipline); MBA or advanced degree is a plus.
  • Enjoy learning new skills and adapting to changes in your environment, tools, and responsibilities at pace. 
  • Have a strong execution bias and a deep passion for solving internal and external customer problems. 
  • A 'can do' spirit combined with high energy and a positive attitude. 


 Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with machine learning platforms and tools.
  • Experience working with cloud-based platforms (e.g., AWS, Google Cloud, Azure) and related technologies (e.g., BigQuery, Redshift, Snowflake).
  • Familiarity with data security, compliance, and privacy best practices (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA).

$84500 to $204600
