General Summary:
As a Support Engineer at Qualcomm, you will significantly contribute to our product improvement and work with other Engineers to sustain aspects of our product development life cycle. Support Engineers will also play a critical role in resolving technical system issues that promote product reliability. You will have endless opportunities to learn and grow in the Engineering development space.
This position will involve to work with Failure Analysis Lab for IC package & die level analysis, perform technical teardown analysis in the areas of Mobile, Compute, XR, Auto, and Connectivity, and organize, analyze and compile raw data into professional reports for presentation to relevant audiences.
Minimum Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree and 2+ years of Support Engineering or related work experience.Preferred Qualifications:
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
• Provides organizational or development support from initial concept through completion phases of the project with minimal supervision.
• Provides support for engineers and recommendations on design approaches, layout, and parameters for large projects with minimal guidance.
• Installs, upgrades, configures, and helps operate company products and/or components based on specifications, tolerances and reliability. Monitors product performance, analyzes moderately complex failures or malfunctions, and suggests corrective action.
• Gathers, integrates, and interprets data and information from various sources and stakeholders to understand moderately complex specifications and develop solutions.
• Manages and/or executes on own project priorities, deadlines, and deliverables for small to mid-sized projects.
• Collaborates with individuals inside and outside of own function to integrate projects and/or ensure changes work with other components of a specific project.
Level of Responsibility:
• Works independently with minimal supervision.
• Decision-making may affect work beyond immediate work group.
• Requires verbal and written communication skills to convey complex information. May require basic negotiation, influence, tact, etc.
• Has a moderate amount of influence over key organizational decisions (e.g., is consulted by senior leadership to make key decisions).
• Tasks do not have defined steps; planning, problem-solving, and prioritization must occur to complete the tasks effectively.

Pay range and Other Compensation & Benefits:
$40.77 - $61.15The above pay scale reflects the broad, minimum to maximum, pay scale for this job code for the location for which it has been posted.
