The Strategic Relationship Manager role requires a self-motivated individual who is committed to managing and executing our customer retention strategy.
Operating within the Verizon Business group in Europe, your focus will be on building strong working relationships with our customers, to maximise the value of the partnership we have with and help ensure the extension of business agreements and identify new business opportunities within these existing accounts. The client experience will be in your hands as you engage with existing customers to drive business success and protect our revenue base.
Responsibilities:
Achieving sales objectives and renewal targets through working with existing business customers based in the UK.
Serving as a key link between clients and our internal groups: Sales, Pricing, Contract Management etc.
Developing strong internal working relationships with colleagues in other functions, to enable a smooth and efficient contract extension process.
Executing customer offerings and driving deal velocity for Verizon Business.
Presenting proposals to customers, negotiation of winning outcomes for both Verizon and our customers, and assisting in the removal of factors inhibiting contract renewal.
Managing renewal processes, from customer engagement through to quote and order, defending Verizon revenue, limiting loss and reducing write-down.

You enjoy digging deeply to understand pain points, needs and their key business and market challenges. You enjoy challenging yourself to achieve specific outcomes and executing projects to win customer business. You constantly look for solutions to challenges wherever you can, and enjoy collaborating with others. You’re not afraid of ambiguity and like to close and renew sales contracts within a set of outlined Deal Architecture standards. You love to work in a team and are dedicated to contributing strong results in order to achieve team targets.
You’ll need to have:
Bachelor’s degree or relevant work experience.
Experience in selling Networking, Communication or other IT solutions.
Experience of working with 30+ business customers at any one time.
Experience of closing business agreements and securing customer commitments.
Even better if you have one or more of the following:
Experience in developing strategic internal and external stakeholder relationships.
Experience of working with Verizon Business inventory, quoting and ordering systems.
Experience of working with business customers in Europe.
Strong communication and presentation skills.
Strong commercial acumen, negotiation and project management skills, along with the ability to provide accurate forecasts related to contract renewals and the associated financial impacts.
Calmness whilst working under pressure, with the ability to manage competing priorities.
