The Chief of Staff (CoS), Integrated Strategic Engagement team’s goal is to support Navy Federal’s President & CEO, Chief Operating Officer, and senior executive leadership team by driving strategic engagement and communication with all internal and external stakeholders
A Summer Associate will be selected to collaborate with leadership and various partners to support the following priorities for Navy Federal’s senior executive leadership team:
- Operational, strategic, and efficiency management
- Champion and challenge change, initiatives, and projects
- Development and strengthen key internal and external relationships
All assignments and projects assigned will be to support the priorities listed above, as well as alignment, connection, and empowerment across the organization.
The Summer Associate Program is a 12-week internship program beginning in May 2025 and ending in August 2025. Students will work on impactful projects and meaningful work during their internship. To qualify for this position, applicants must be currently pursuing a degree from an accredited college or university and have an anticipated graduation date of December 2025 or later.

Qualifications- Currently pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in Project Management, Communications, Organizational Development, Business Administration, or other related field
- Familiarity with project/program management processes and methodologies
- Exposure to working and participating in cross-functional, multi-dimensional teams and projects
- Exposure to working with diverse internal and external contacts
- Ability to compile, organize, and present information clearly and concisely
- Familiarity with PCs and Microsoft Office Suite products such as Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Effective skills exercising initiative and using good judgment to make sound decisions
- Effective organizational, planning, and time management skills
- Effective verbal and written communication skills with the ability to compose correspondence that adheres to grammar and Navy Federal writing style and standards
- Experience managing multiple priorities independently and/or in a team environment to achieve goals with a high degree of accuracy
- Experience in researching, compiling, and documenting data, business processes, and workflow
- Basic skills in capturing and translating processes and requirements into easily understood terms
- Basic analytical thinking skills to include summarizing information and clearly identifying key elements, patterns, results, or relationships.
Responsibilities- Monitor and maintain project/program schedule, documentation, and progress and provide regular status updates
- Appropriately escalate project issues to leadership for resolution
- Collaborate with various levels of staff to accomplish tasks/assignments
- Identify and recommend process improvements to leadership
- Conduct research for preparation of reference material
- Create, update, and maintain foundational documents and executive summaries/briefs
- Create and maintain CoS SharePoint content and perform access updates
- Draft email verbiage to be sent by CoS team to internal and external contacts
- Ensure clear, concise, and effective communication of material shared by CoS Office
- Participates in planning, development, implementation, and maintenance of new and existing programs
