Location:  Houston, TX (Channelview area)

Amount of Travel Required:  30%

Work Schedule:  Monday-Friday 8a-5p

Positions Supervised:  Supply Chain personnel

POSITION SUMMARY: The Supply Chain Manager (SCM) will lead the Supply Chain department in optimizing the overall supply chain process for Evolution Well Services Operating. In supporting the Supply Chain Director, the SCM will manage the supply chain department’s daily activities, regularly monitor market trends, meet with new and maintain existing supplier and vendor relationships, perform logistic assessments, and implement processes improvement strategies to ensure efficient supply chain operations.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: (The following duties and responsibilities are all essential job functions, as defined by the ADA, except for those that begin with the word “May.”)

  • Must be fluent in reading, writing, and comprehending English. Bi-lingual candidates are encouraged to apply.
  • Analyze data from shipping and delivering processes to find bottlenecks and other issues. 
  • Evaluate and report on KPIs.
  • Monitor logistics to ensure smooth operations. 
  • Maintain supply chain inventory and records.
  • Train and mentor employees, including reinforcement of safety guidelines.
  • Find cost-effective solutions for supply chain processes
  • Effectively resolve workplace issues that may arise (e.g., delays in delivery, accidents)
  • Collaborate with other departments to close operational gaps.
  • Ensure supply chain processes meet legal requirements and standards.
  • Optimize warehouse functions.
  • Monitors performance of employees, conducting performance management tasks, including performance discussions, goals check-ins, and performance reviews.
  • Communicate and negotiate with suppliers and vendors to close more profitable deals.
  • Continual monitoring of market conditions, adjusting procurement strategy, as necessary.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned to assist with successful operations and business continuity.

Qualifications

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

  • Successfully passes background check, pre-employment drug screening, an any pre-employment aptitude and/or competency assessment(s).
  • Possesses a valid U.S. Driver’s License.
  • Daily in-person, predictable attendance.
  • High proficiency in Microsoft systems, engineering-based platforms/storage software, and 3D drawing tools.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE LEVEL

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Management, or a related field
  •  7-10 years of Supply Chain Management experience

QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS, COMPETENCIES, AND ABILITIES

  • Supply Chain Management certification strongly preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage and improve supply chain data, information, and processes.
  • Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal skills. Will need to communicate with vendors and field personnel regularly and effectively.
  • Exceptional ability to conceptualize large-picture projects and foresee challenges and needs to be addressed.
  • High-level comprehension of all aspects of supply chain processes.
  • Strong vendor selection skills needed.
  • Knowledgeable and proficient in database maintenance, including utilization of Microsoft Office and Office 365 suite, with a concentration of Microsoft Excel optimization.
  • Proficiency in Sage 300 and DocLink strongly preferred.

Frequently required to walk, sit, climb, bend, reach and squat/kneel.  The Supply Chain Manager works primarily in a warehouse setting and will engage in both sitting for prolonged periods and typing at a desk and computer, as well as walking at intermittent periods.  They must be able to access and navigate warehouse and office facilities with ease. Additionally, they may be required to lift and push heavy objects; therefore, must be able to lift 25lbs.  

Work hours may include early morning, late afternoon/evening hours, and weekends in combination depending on job necessity.
