Job Summary
The Senior Vice President, Chief Risk Officer for the Capital Markets business reports to the Chief Risk Officer of Raymond James Financial and is responsible for comprehensive and strategic risk management responsibilities within Capital Markets. This role is responsible for overseeing development, implementation, and execution of a risk framework to help identify, manage and mitigate risks that impact the business. This role engages closely with senior business leaders and other key business leaders on a regular basis, fostering a deep understanding of the risk landscape in order to institute sound and effective risk management practices. Moreover, this role facilitates risk-informed decision-making and provides effective challenge to maintain the integrity of the business risk posture.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
%26middot; Establishes and oversees the implementation of a risk management framework for the business unit, to include defining the business appetite for risk taking and establish appropriate controls.
%26middot; Conducts and presents regular risk reviews in order to provide an independent perspective of the business and to keep pace with the changing business environment.
%26middot; Continuously monitors and analyzes the businesses risk profile and tolerance to include daily risk monitoring across all relevant risk stripes including market, credit, liquidity and operational risks.
%26middot; Identifies emerging risks and advises on risk mitigation strategies.
%26middot; Leads the development and implementation of risk assessment and quantification models needed to risk manage the business
%26middot; Oversees and evolves risk reporting processes to enhance the accuracy and effectiveness of risk information.
%26middot; Ensures the business risk management practices comply with regulatory requirements and industry best practices. Also, engages with regulators to provide essential risk context.
%26middot; Reports risk-related data including risk exposure, compliance to risk policies, and effectiveness of current risk management strategies to the Board of Directors, senior management and various risk committees.
%26middot; Collaborates with the business and other key stakeholders to evaluate the risk associated with potential mergers and acquisitions, new product offerings, and other initiatives.
%26middot; Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

%26middot Bachelor%26rsquos Degree (B.A.) with a minimum of fifteen (15) years of financial services experience required.
%26middot Previous experience in a Capital Markets (or related business) and/or an associated risk management position.
