Full Job Description:

Zachary Piper Solutions is looking for a System Administrator to join a growing team in support of a government agency. This position will be fully onsite, located in either Reston, VA, JBAD, DC, or College Park, MD.

Responsibilities/Overview:

•        Perform systems administration of cyber tools sets and server systems connected to networks across multiple classification domains.

•        Provide support to developmental and operational systems, including day-to-day operations, monitoring, and problem resolution for all client, server, storage, and network devices.

•        Maintain integrity and security of cross domain system infrastructure and any processes related to these systems. Provide Tier 1, Tier 2, and Tier 3 problem identification, diagnosis, and resolution of issues.

•        Configure and manage Windows, UNIX, and Linux operating systems and install and load operating system and application software.

•        Learn how to help clients overcome challenges through monitoring and performance management. Analyze problem areas and opportunities for improvement in a mission-critical network.

•        Combine technical knowledge and communication skills to turn metrics into information and articulate their meaning.

•        Work individually and as team participant and obtain guidance and direction from more senior level technicians, specialists, or managers.

Required Qualifications:

•        Experience with operating and maintaining Microsoft Windows and Linux servers, including operating systems

•        Experience with installing and configuring devices, applications, and security tools

•        Active TS/SCI clearance; willingness to take a polygraph exam

•        3-4 years of experience as a system administrator

•        HS diploma or GED and 7+ years of experience in a professional work environment, Associate’s degree and 5+ years of experience in a professional work environment, or Bachelor’s degree and 3+ years of experience in a professional work environment

•        DoD 8570.01-M Information Assurance Technician (IAT) Level II Certification, including Security+ CE, CCNA-Security, GSEC, SSCP, CySA+, GICSP, or CND Certification

•        Ability to obtain a DoD 8570.01-M Cybersecurity Service Provider (CSSP) - Infrastructure Support (IS) certification, including CEH, CySA+, GICSP, SSCP, CHFI, CFR, Cloud+, or CND within 60 days of hire - CAN BE OBTAINED AFTER START

Compensation and Benefits:

•        $100,000-$125,000
