CACI has an exciting and immediate opportunity for an IT Training and Curriculum Development Specialist to support the U.S. Army Global Secure Network (GSN) program. This position will be based out of the CACI High Point, NC office.

High Point is conveniently located in the Piedmont Triad region (Winston Salem, Greensboro, High Point). An hour drive to the south gets you to Charlotte, an hour to the east is Raleigh/Durham. You’ll have access to big city excitement, mountain views, and small-town southern hospitality.

Responsibilities:

  • Work with engineering staff to develop technical documentation and training materials.

  • Develop lesson plans and associated educational material, classes, seminars, training aids, and training records. Translate/tailor provided training for U.S. Army use.

  • Train U.S. Army personnel on software and equipment deployed as part of the GSN program (includes, but not limited to, Microsoft, Cisco, and Linux OS).

  • Teach reoccurring courses to U.S. Army personnel and other DoD contractors.

  • Source a wide variety of training from Army and commercial training sites; and conduct and facilitate On-the-Job Training.

  • Develop new curricula to meet current and future training requirements from scratch.

  • Evaluate, analyze, and document critical work center tasks; develop work center training plans using Army training standards, instructions, and regulations.

  • Assess commercial training for integration in to GSN training.

  • Manage facilities and labs, including servers and student PCs to include setup and tear down for each class,

  • Maintain and update training materials.

  • Identify equipment and materials needed to meet training objectives. Maintain an automated scheduling database for the training lab. Schedule personnel for training.

  • Establish training programs to meet local knowledge and skill needs and to enhance professional awareness of the technologies used by the GSN program.

  • Develop portable training materials for delivery over multiple media, including traditional classroom, web-based, and removable media-based training. Convert traditional training materials to web or removable media.

    Additional Responsibilities:

  • Provide oral and written briefs, presentations, and professional reports to Government senior leaders and decision makers.

  • Deploy/travel to CONUS and OCONUS locations in Germany, Kuwait, S. Korea, Hawaii, JBLM, Ft. Huachuca, and Ft. Liberty to support operations, projects, and training as required (up to 25%).

    Minimum Requirements:

  • Ability to obtain an Interim Secret clearance prior to start date.

  • B.S. in related field, and 5 or more years’ relevant experience OR 7 or more years’ relevant experience

  • Windows Operating system experience

  • Routing / Switching experience

  • Firewall and Unix/Linux experience

  • Technical teaching / training experience

  • Completion of additional Professional Certifications.

  • Trainer Certification (Microsoft, Cisco, or military equivalent)

    Desired:

  • Experience working in DoD, U.S. Army NETCOM, and local base environments.

    Pay Range: There are a host of factors that can influence final salary including, but not limited to, geographic location, Federal Government contract labor categories and contract wage rates, relevant prior work experience, specific skills and competencies, education, and certifications.     The proposed salary range for this position is:

    $70,900 - $148,900
