Job Description
Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking a Telecommunications Lead to support a long-term program on-site in Arlington, VA. The Telecommunications Lead will oversee and support the telecom infrastructure and lead a small team. This position has flex hours from 6am-6pm Monday-Friday and will be able to upgrade a clearance to a TS/SCI.
Responsibilities for the Telecommunications Lead include:
- Manage a small team of telecom specialists and support various projects for the end client.
- Support a migration from Avaya Telephony to Cisco UC Systems, various Voice Engineering initiatives, and implement and troubleshoot solutions.
- Recommend, test, and implement various software solutions and revision, perform patch evaluations, and perform system refreshes.
- Respond to system outages, configure PBX and call lead systems, provide operation and maintenance support, data circuit management, remote site service, and assist with wireless devices.
Required Qualifications for the Telecommunications Lead include:
- 10 years of experience with Telecommunications
- 2 years of experience working as a Lead or Supervisor
- Experience with Avaya communication systems 2.1 or higher, Cisco Unified Communications System, and other related tools and technologies
- Sec+, CCNA-Security, CySa+, CND, or higher certification
- Active Secret Clearance and ability to upgrade to TS/SCI
