Billing Product Manager

The Product team is responsible for all product offering for Transaction Bank inclusive of Payments, Liquidity, Digital, Channels, and Billing.  One product area that we would like to invest in is building scalable billing solutions to support the business. The Billing Product Manager role is to build billing capabilities such as pricing payment products and services, FX spreads, as well as automation of client interest rate and the entire deal automation process. It also includes building for controls to make sure that client rates and bills are accurate with no gaps as well as thinking about new capabilities to continue to evaluate client revenue and profitability structures. 

The role requires experience in financial or banking industry, payments knowledge and billing experience. The role will work closely with the rest of the product teams, engineering, and operations, and functional teams such as legal, compliance, risk, operations to build products and features.'

As a product manager you will:

  • Identify industry and client needs and disruption opportunities, guiding interdisciplinary teams to deliver innovative products to market.
  • Support and own specific billing roadmap items such as billing enablement, billing statements, billing reconciliation and controls
  • Own direct delivery of key product offerings including building business case, requirements, go-to-market plans, testing and ongoing product management and monitoring
  • Accountability and responsibility for product performance including defining and measuring key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure success/failure as well as monitoring ongoing client usage and experience for enhancements
  • Test and iterate in small-scale pilots to validate concepts, refine them to achieve product-market fit, develop Minimally Viable Products (MVPs) and then scale to drive vertical and horizontal economics
  • Regularly and systematically use data to uncover opportunities, track product performance, and drive decision making
  • Prioritize, negotiate and remove blockers to orchestrate successful launch or optimization cycle
  • Educate and work with cross-functional teams including firmwide legal, compliance, risks to ensure that the product offerings are market and client ready with appropriate risk and controls

What we are looking for:

  • Proven experience in and passion for building and shipping great products ideally in billing or building for Earnings Credit Rate (ECR)
  • Familiarity of billing, deal management processes, pricing enablement or billing monitoring  
  • Experience working with Agile Methodologies
  • Exceptional communication skills- someone who is an engaging storyteller and is at ease presenting to leadership
  • Blend of both strategic and tactical thinking- someone who can identify and prioritize opportunities in highly ambiguous contexts, and then organize thematic work areas in deep detail, thus aligning long term vision with iterative execution
  • Strong quantitative background to support data-informed decision making
  • Collaborative, team player attitude with the ability to navigate and influence the organization
  • Experience working with legal, compliance, risk and regulatory requirements with respect to billing and billing capabilities
  • Comfortable in the fast lane: Experience with driving rapid team and product growth

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or military experience
  • At least 8 years of experience in product management, billing products, or deal management

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or Engineering, Analytics
  • 4+ years of experience of billing experience for corporate banks or financial services institutions
  • 4+ years Experience in Oracle’s Billing System, Earning Credit Rate (ECR), or other billing systems
