Job Description

Job Duties: Vice President, Risk Governance with Goldman Sachs & Co. LLC in Dallas, Texas. Conduct risk reviews on areas with particular concern and make recommendations and suggestions to close risk and control gaps. Employ the components of the Operations Risk Management Framework to continuously measure and assess levels of risk for existing/new processes within the Business Unit. Partner with the business unit to understand the residual risks that exist after issues are identified and resolved. Work with the team and other regional/functional Operations groups to identify key risk metrics (e.g. via KRI’s) and highlighting areas of concerns, working with line managers on remediation efforts.  Drive the agenda and conversations in risk meetings. Work with line managers in ensuring the Risk & Control Self Assessment (RCSA) risk and control templates reflect the current risk environment and also vet through RCSA issues raised to ensure proper remediation is in place. Work closely with other risk managers in other locations to share key initiatives and best practices; better integrate with the wider Asset Management Risk Management teams.

Job Requirements: Bachelor’s degree (U.S. or foreign equivalent) in Finance, Business Administration, International Business, Economics, Mathematics, or a related field. Employer will accept single degree or any combination of degrees, certificates and/or professional work experience where determined to be equivalent to U.S. Bachelor's degree by a qualified credential evaluation service. Five (5) years of experience in the job offered or a related financial operations position. Must have five (5) years of experience with the following: using Key Risk Indicators to enable ongoing risk control and monitoring; deploying risk management standards and assessment principles to review Operations processes and identifying risks; performing data analytics using metrics to identify risk trends and themes; identifying and deploying risk management best practices; performing incident reviews and leveraging data to identify risk thematics and common root causes; and managing operational risks and developing control enhancements.
