Job Description
- Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking a VMWare Administrator to join a non-profit organization located in Quantico, VA. The VMWare Administrator will be responsible for Administration for customers’ virtualization requirements.
Responsibilities of the VMWare Administrator include:
How a VMware Administrator will Make an Impact:
- Administration for customers’ virtualization requirements
- Daily support, maintenance, and design services for VMware virtualization across four separate enterprise domains
- Daily interaction with network and storage administrators to ensure full operability of virtualization services
- Plans and implements system security patches as well as upgrades as required
- Windows Domain enterprise support as it relates to VMware operations as well as supporting the customer with vulnerability management, outage, and troubleshooting
Education:
- BS degree; additional years of experience may be considered in lieu of degree
- Security+
Required Experience:
- Experience with in-depth knowledge/experience of VMware virtualization with a minimum level of ESXi 5.5 up to 7.x in both stand alone and VCenter environments to include:
o VCenter operations
o vMotion
o Host and Datastore Clustering
o VCenter HA and DRS
o Guest VM resource utilization and management
