PAR Electrical Contractors, LLC is looking for a Vice President, Drilling for our corporate office located in Lenexa, KS. 

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Vice President of Drilling to join our executive team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in drilling and renewables within the electrical contracting industry, with proven leadership skills and a strategic mindset. As the Vice President of Drilling, you will be responsible for overseeing and optimizing drilling activities for electrical and renewable projects. The day-to-day will involve strategic planning and operational leadership to ensure successful drilling operations for PAR Electrical Contractors.

Compensation: This is an exempt/salary position. The pay range is $160,000 - $225,000. Pay may vary depending on your location, skills, and experience.

What You'll Do

  • Lead and manage drilling teams, drillers, and support personnel, to ensure efficient and safe execution of drilling operations.
  • Establish a technical department with expertise in drilling techniques, equipment selection and logistics aimed at maximizing productivity.
  • Implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance drilling productivity, reduce downtime, and increase overall project profitability.
  • Develop and manage budgets, schedules, and performance metrics for drilling operations, and provide regular reports to executive leadership.
  • Monitor drilling operations to ensure compliance with safety standards, environmental regulations, and project specifications.
  • Foster a culture of safety, innovation, and excellence, and foster professional development opportunities.
  • Prepare and present project reports to the executive team and board of directors.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends, technologies, and best practices to maintain the company's competitive edge.
  • Monitor and manage project risks, resolving issues that arise during the course of construction.
  • Oversee the end-to-end delivery of the drilling and renewable projects, from conceptual design/bid through project closeout.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant federal, state and local regulations, as well as industry standards.
  • Manage contract negotiations, vendor management, and procurement activities related to drilling for transmission and renewable construction.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, contractors, suppliers and internal teams.
  • Represent the company at industry conferences, regulatory meetings, and other public forums.
  • Oversee financial performance, including forecasting, cost control and financial reporting.
  • Identify opportunities for cost savings and increased profitability without compromising quality and safety.

What You'll Bring

Required Education and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, Civil Engineer, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in the electrical contracting or drilling construction industries, with at least 5 years in a senior management role.
  • Proven track record of successfully managing large-scale projects from inception to completion.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • In-depth knowledge of industry regulations, standards, and best practices.
  • Proficient in project management software and other relevant tools.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

 

Preferred Education and Experience

  • PMP certification.
  • Financial acumen for budget development and management.
