General Summary:
Tests and modifies general systems-level software/hardware, specialized utility and/or hardware. Interprets wireless specifications. Designs test plans, scenarios, scripts, or procedures. Documents systems-level defects, using a bug tracking system, and report defects to developers. Identifies, analyzes, troubleshoots, and documents problems with program function, output, or content. Develops testing programs that assess effectiveness of a new system or modification of an existing system.
Minimum Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 6+ years of Systems Test Engineering or related work experience.OR
Master's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 5+ years of Systems Test Engineering or related work experience.
OR
PhD in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 4+ years of Systems Test Engineering or related work experience.
Responsibilities
As local WOS site lead, working scope includes:
- Co-work with global/domestic team sub leads for project planning, execution tracking, status reporting, issue follow up and other local project management. Monitor team productivity and efficiency, provide related logistic support.
- Work closely with project leads/other function groups to guarantee high quality on time delivery of key milestones for all kinds of projects.
- Cross teamwork with dev, marketing and CE teams for ecosystem related competitive analysis, customer demo, advanced technology and all kinds of market promotion test support.
- Automation framework deployment, tools development for test quality and efficiency improvement, as needed
- Support lab test environment setup and maintenance for different functional, performance and quality test purpose, assure lab utilization requirements.
- Research and self-motivation for new test method/tool/strategy exploration and initiatives.
Skills/Experiences:
- MS/BS degree in Computer Engineering/Computer Science/Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience required
- 10+ years of Windows or ARM Android platform testing experience.
- 3+ years of team management experience
- Experienced on test planning, issue analysis, summary, reporting and complete product test cycle support.
- Good comprehension of windows OS, apps, peripheral, game corresponding testing.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills in both Chinese and English.
- Automation test design, development and deployment knowledge is also a strong plus.
