Job Description

This position will follow our hybrid work model. We expect the selected candidate to work 2 to 3 days a week at our corporate office in Memphis, TN.

Job Summary

As the Reconciliation Specialist within our AMS team, you will work under limited supervision, utilizing your advanced knowledge and skills gained through experience and training. Your role will involve supporting the various reconciliation teams within AMS Recon. You will follow established procedures and guidelines to perform various tasks requiring some evaluation, originality, or creativity when making routine decisions. Additionally, you will serve as a resource to the team for resolving complex problems and issues. This position entails extensive interaction with the team and serves as the front-line individual to assist in identifying, researching, and helping resolve various problems.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Leads the work of others and provides training and coaching to less experienced associates.
  • Monitors various reports and complex outages in accordance with organizational policies and procedures.
  • Review problem issues and determine appropriate corrective action.
  • Resolves complex discrepancies within various systems to balance our trading systems.
  • Assists with updating department policies and procedures.
  • Serves as a backup and communicates to Supervisor and Operations Manager of issues.
  • Assists with performing quality control audits for various team functions.
  • Performs other duties, responsibilities, and projects as assigned.

Job Requirements

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Knowledge of

  • Industry regulations related to trading activities.
  • Investment concepts, practices, and procedures used in the securities industry.
  • Accounting principles and procedures.
  • Front-end and back-office systems used in assigned functional areas and their relationship with account history.
  • Fundamental mathematical ability sufficient to accurately and efficiently calculate transactions.

Skill in

  • Basic analytical skills: identify relationships, draw logical conclusions, and interpret results for use in decision-making.
  • Personal resilience while providing high-level customer service to both internal and external clients.
  • Problem-solving sufficient to effectively analyze, research, and resolve inquiries and issues in a timely manner.
  • Handling a high-volume phone system.
  • Operating standard office equipment and using required software applications sufficient to create documents, spreadsheets, and business correspondence.

  • Work concurrently under pressure on multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced work environment with frequent interruptions and changing priorities.

Educational/Previous Experience Requirements

Education/Previous Experience

  • Associate%26rsquos degree and/or 5+ years of relevant experience

OR

  • Any equivalent combination of experience, education, and/or training approved by Human Resources.
