Minimum Qualifications:

•    Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 2+ years of Software Engineering or related work experience.
OR
Master's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 1+ year of Software Engineering or related work experience.
OR
PhD in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field.

• 2+ years of academic or work experience with Programming Language such as C, C++, Java, Python, etc.

Job Description

Responsible for Android game performance & power optimizations. Design, development, and implement Linux Android performance framework, driver, and optimization solution based on Qualcomm Chipsets. Includes but not limited to:

Develop Linux performance optimization features on Linux/Android platform.

Debug and resolve performance & power issues of game apps on Android devices.

Profile new game apps on Qualcomm devices to get the jank/fps etc, tune the device parameters per game.

Co-work with game studios to develop new features, tune device parameters for balanced fps and power

Support competitor analysis on games, i.e. janks, fps and power etc KPIs

Track and join Mobile, Gaming related eco system actively, follow the latest power/performance related technology and software framework and solution, and profile and enable them on Qualcomm platform.

Skills /Experience Required:

Minimum 3+ years Linux BSP/Android framework working experience.

Experienced on gaming power/performance optimization.

Good expertise on Android/Linux framework or driver development.

Good programming skills, such as C/C++, Java, and Python etc.

Good knowledge on ARM SoC/CPU architecture.

Ability to schedule, organize and coordinate projects in high efficiency with teamwork.

Good problem solving & analysis skills, communication skills and strong enthusiasm to learn.

Skills /Experience are plus:

Good understanding on Android/Linux Framework, display pipeline framework.

Good understanding on Android IPC mechanisms, like binder/AIDL/socket etc. 

Good understanding on Linux CPU idle/DCVS driver, device DCVS driver, suspend and resume.

Good understanding on Linux schedule.

Good English oral and written skills

Education Requirements:

MS in Electrical engineering, Computer engineering, or Computer Science, MS preferred.
