YOUR IMPACT 

The Asset & Wealth Management Strategic Transformation Office is a recently established entity tasked with overseeing comprehensive large-scale transformations. Our primary objectives are to enhance scalability, drive revenue growth, improve client experience, and elevate controls to optimize our operating platform. This group comprises of four critical functions, including (1) Product Management & Design, (2) Change Management, (3) Regulatory Management, and (4) Monitoring & Testing.

The global AWM Regulatory Management team acts as the key partner for the AWM business for regulatory matters. The team manages the regulatory strategy and roadmap for the AWM business providing coverage on global regulations and policies landscape.  The team is responsible for reviewing the regulatory horizon, analyse upcoming regulations, assess impact to the business products, activities, investors/consumers and ensure a control framework is in place to ensure compliance. 

Our team is seeking a professional to support the Policy on Policies initiative which entails helping to uplift our regulatory policies and procedures to an enhanced firmwide framework. This role includes providing governance over our divisional regulatory policy program. The candidate will be responsible for ensuring regulatory policies are reviewed regularly, updated, and traced to controls and regulatory obligations. Additionally, candidates should be highly organized and comfortable interacting with senior audiences. 

HOW YOU WILL FULFILL YOUR POTENTIAL

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to help draft, rationalize, and update regulatory policies and procedures outlining regulatory requirements and best practices
  • Provide governance over the AM regulatory divisional policy program, including with respect to prioritization of policy work, helping to ensure policy owners are timely updating documents, and reporting of management metrics
  • Stay current with industry trends, legal developments and regulatory changes impacting Asset Management
  • Collaborate with subject matter experts to gather necessary information and ensure accuracy and relevance of content
  • Proactively contribute and drive strategy to uplift our divisional regulatory policies and procedures to an enhanced firmwide framework

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree and 2+ years of experience in financial services 
  • 2-4 years’ experience in policy writing, or in a legal or compliance role in the financial services industry
  • Strong research, analytical, problem solving and critical thinking skills to provide creative and innovative solutions 
  • Strong project management skills with a proven track record of execution against deadlines
  • Demonstrate resiliency and creativity when under pressure and when managing time-sensitive demands from competing stakeholders
  • Experience in delivering high quality work products, reflecting attention to detail 
  • Work independently and exercise strong judgment when executing an assigned task 
  • Multi-task and can manage and advance multiple projects simultaneously
  • Proficiency in MS Office, PowerPoint, and Excel, with an ability to learn new tools quickly
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, including editing and proofreading 
  • Ability to communicate complex regulatory requirements clearly and concisely
  • Ability to decipher and navigate ambiguous situations with the aim of developing solutions

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS 

  • Sound understanding of Risk – operational, reputational and client confidentiality 
  • Basic understanding of regulatory landscape
