Within the Global Marketing function sits the Asset Management Marketing team, responsible for end-to-end marketing strategies and programs for the entirety of the business. Marketing helps shape the Goldman Sachs Asset Management brand and protect and grow the business’s reputation. They create and deliver targeted, integrated marketing campaigns across digital channels, paid media and in-person experiences, which broaden our client footprint, deepen relationships with clients, diversify our asset base, and fuel business growth.   

Private Credit Product Marketing  Lead 

Role Summary

This Vice President will play a key role within the Asset Management (AM) Marketing team, leading private credit marketing and reporting to the Global Head of Alternatives Product Marketing. This is a new role that will help drive the global growth of Goldman Sachs Alternatives, a $500 billion business, leading the marketing for private credit which spans direct lending, mezzanine and hybrid capital strategies and solutions for institutional and third-party wealth clients. 

The Vice President will partner with the investment team and alternatives capital formation team to execute the top private credit priorities. They will also work across the AM Marketing team to infuse private credit insights through content creation, digital marketing, paid media, social media, analytics, and will collaborate with channel marketers to create and execute end-to-end campaigns. 

Position Responsibilities

  • Marketing strategy: Help design and deliver a cohesive private credit marketing strategy across internal and external channels
  • Product narrative: Partner with business leaders to integrate private credit’s unique positioning across sales and marketing assets globally
  • Collateral: Oversee the development and maintenance of product-specific marketing collateral (e-mails, fund profiles, webinars, pitchbooks, website content, fund pitch videos) in partnership with AM’s Creative Design team 
  • Fund updates: Assist in the fund update process helping to execute webinars, newsletters and communications to keep clients informed of fund developments 
  • Campaigns: Partner with institutional and third-party wealth channel marketing professionals to deliver integrated marketing campaigns that support new client acquisition 
  • Media: Partner with Media Relations on relevant opportunities that showcase Private Credit transactions, leaders and awards
  • Events: Partner on content for the private credit events, both proprietary and industry conference sponsorship and support execution
  • Business process enhancements: Use a data-driven and iterative approach to optimize marketing tactics and reporting against KPIs
  • Partnership and collaboration: Develop and maintain strong relationships across AM Marketing colleagues, Global Marketing partners, Corporate Communications, Compliance, Legal, sales and investment teams and key stakeholders across the global organization.

     

Qualifications

  • 7+ years in a similar or related role with previous experience in an asset management and alternatives marketing
  • In-depth knowledge of the alternatives industry clients, products, regulations, competitors and knowledge of private credit
  •  Ability to present investment views in a thoughtful and well-reasoned manner, synthesize information from multiple sources and develop a clear, compelling story 
  •  Well-developed strategic thinking with commercial awareness and business acumen 
  •  Demonstrated integrated marketing skills across strategy and execution; ability to leverage subject matter experts throughout broader divisional marketing team in pursuit of effective outcomes 
  •  Demonstrable track record of working effectively across matrixed, complex organizations with excellent communication, influencing and presentation skills 
  • Experience with senior stakeholder engagement 
  •  Ability to prioritize and manage competing deadlines with strong attention to detail  
  • Bachelor’s Degree (BA/BS); MBA and/or CAIA preferred  

     

Salary Range 

The expected base salary for this New York, New York, United States-based position is $125000-$250000. In addition, you may be eligible for a discretionary bonus if you are an active employee as of fiscal year-end.
