The Opportunity:

This position will be in our Shared Service Center, where the individual will work under close supervision to prepare and administer purchase orders for materials in accordance with client requirements, government regulations and procurement policies/procedures.

Responsibilities:

  • Review requisition, solicit/evaluate bid, recommend and select supplier for award of purchase orders.

  • Negotiate price, quality, delivery and other terms and conditions.

  • Perform oversight on all awarded purchase orders until delivery/completion of goods/services.

  • Coordinate and prioritize activities in a fast-paced environment.

  • Recruit and maintain responsive suppliers providing high quality products and services at fair and reasonable prices.

  • Negotiate with suppliers and settles damage claims, rejections, losses, return of materials, over-shipments, cancellations, and engineering change orders.

Qualifications:

Required: 

  • Bachelor’s degree or Associates/Vocational/Technical education or related purchasing experience.

  • Ability to complete milestones and work toward multiple deadlines simultaneously.

  • Highly organized with excellent interpersonal and customer service skills. Attention to details and problem-solving skills.

Desired:

  • Experience in Costpoint and P2P systems is a plus.

  • Knowledge of FAR, DFAR and GSA Schedules.

  • Advanced Excel and Word Document skills.

The proposed salary range for this position is:

$35,776 - $71,100
