Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 6+ years of Software Engineering or related work experience.
OR
Master's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 5+ years of Software Engineering or related work experience.
OR
PhD in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 4+ years of Software Engineering or related work experience.

• 3+ years of work experience with Programming Language such as C, C++, Java, Python, etc.

Responsibilities

The Project Engineer will fulfill a project engineering role in Qualcomm’s Automotive Business Unit working to drive ADAS projects with new, leading industrial partners/customers. In this role, you will define and deliver innovative ideas, work on broadly defined opportunities, and partner with the business team on execution and delivery.

Responsibilities include:

  • Ownership of technology development, execution, and communication across technology teams and technical communication with customer/counterparts.
  • Ownership and leadership of Architecture / Design / Development Strategy – Technology owner (working with Product Marketing for overall SW portfolio strategy)
  • Drives industry best practices for software engineering including ASPICE, FuSa compliance.
  • Resolve key technical issue across teams.
  • Drive resolution on technical priorities when there is conflicts and tradeoffs within automotive team and cross core teams.
  • Responsible for engineering risk and impact analysis
  • Drive and mandate quality of goals in conjunctions with Program Manager
  • Communication of the technical solution internally and externally when needed.
  • Availability in key meetings pertinent to the technical discussions
  • Contribute to lessons learned and project retrospectives from the technical perspective.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field.
  • 8+ years Software/System Engineering or related work experience.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience as a Project Engineer or System Architect
  • Demonstrated ability to take a business goal and drive the technology requirements and product design and service business.
  • Self-driven and comfortable spanning software, hardware, system, and commercialization skills.
  • High level of focus on ensuring very successful projects.
  • Strong knowledge and experience on ADAS and AD project development
  • Depth of knowledge in at least one technology area is expected (e.g., Linux, Android, QNX, Display/GFX/Video/Audio/Camera, Security, Virtualization, Performance, Stability, machine learning etc.)
  • Familiar with ASPICE, ISO 26262 and Cybersecurity and relevant assessment experience.
