How You Will Fulfill Your Potential

You will develop a broad understanding of the Engineering organization and the complexities and opportunities surrounding its ambitious business priorities. You will help Engineering leadership define strategy and accelerate organizational transformation through the use of empathetic and skilled communication. The value you create will be rooted in data-driving insights, proven problem-solving methodologies, and cross-team collaboration. You will also bring your prowess and experience with creating content and events to elevate our engineers and our Goldman Sachs Engineering brand. You will fulfill these responsibilities along with other strategic projects prioritized by the organization’s Engineering leaders.

Role specific opportunities:

  • Strategic program management for Core Engineering initiatives - support the planning, execution, and evaluation of complex projects within Core Engineering (e.g., project plan management, communication coordination, etc.)
  • Assist in the day-to-day operational activities of Core Engineering, implementing best practice processes and technologies to improve operational performance. 
  • Serve as a key point of contact for the Chief Operating Officer (COO) of Core Engineering, managing communication, conducting research, preparing presentations, and briefing materials.
  • Champion change management initiatives to facilitate organizational transformation and adaptation to new strategies.
  • Coordinate and support Core Engineering leadership meetings, townhalls, and other events.

 Basic Qualifications & Preferred Qualifications: 

  • Advanced degree in business, consulting, organizational development, human resources, communications, public relations, or marketing is preferred.
  • At least 2-3 years work experience in technology or the financial sector with prior experience working within an engineering environment preferred.
  • Experience working in a global environment across a matrixed organization.
  • Proficiency in management, communication, internal and external engineering advocacy or engagement, and organizational development.
  • Proficiency in project or program management.
  • Strong written, verbal, and presentation communication skills Strong organizational skills; ability to multi-task and work under pressure and prioritize.
  • Ability to create outcome-driven plans and manage multiple projects.
  •  Ability to establish cross-team alignment and buy-in to elevate engineers and our Goldmans Sachs Engineering brand.
  • Ability to work closely with senior level sponsors and stakeholders to create consensus around plans, activities, and measures of strategic projects.
  • Handle confidential and sensitive information with discretion and professionalism.
