 What you'll be doing...

 Are you a data-driven storyteller with a passion for uncovering consumer insights that drive our strategies, business decisions, and overall competitive advantage? Do you thrive in a fast-paced environment where your strategic thinking and analytical skills can make a real impact? If so, we invite you to join our team as the Brand and Corporate Communications Strategy Associate Director where you'll be the driving force behind understanding our brand's pulse and charting its course for success. The work you do will inspire us to bring the best solutions to both businesses and consumers.  You will leverage your expertise in market research methodologies and data analysis to generate insights that shape our brand's messaging, reputation management, sponsorship strategy, and media relations efforts.

Responsibilities:

  • Partner with senior leaders to understand key business issues and use data-driven insights to inform brand experience strategies, messaging, and public relations.

  • Design custom research in support of the Brand Measurement Trackers to yield actionable insights that will drive brand strategies.

  • Guide research agency analytic teams to perform advanced analytics that provides deeper insights and uncovers opportunities for the brand including: driver and correlation analysis, perceptual maps.

  • Lead a cross functional team in preparing the Annual “State of the Brand” report that provides a holistic, enterprise wide view of the health and strength of the Verizon brand.

  • Manage research agency partners for custom research projects from scoping to delivery, with a focus on uncovering insights that enhance brand perception and inform strategic communications for public relations purposes.

  • Partner with the sponsorship team to identify relevant activations around the fans’ needs and passions and measure their impact on brand associations and brand health.

  • Collaborate with the Corporate Social Responsibility team to conduct research and analysis that ensures our programs are meaningful, relevant, and impactful to society, and that they are implemented with excellence.

  • Strategic thinking with strong business acumen and the ability to translate data into actionable insights.



What we're looking for...

You’ll need to have:

  • Eight or more years of relevant experience required, demonstrated through one or a combination of work and/or military experience, or specialized training.

  • Knowledge of media monitoring and analysis tools.

Even better if you have one or more of the following:

  • Strong analytical and data interpretation skills.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

  • Designed small and large-scale research projects involving primary and secondary data collection.

  • Proven experience in conducting market research for PR purposes.

  • Analyzed data from multiple sources and provided insights and recommendations tailored to different functions and levels.

  • Experience with marketing communications and mobile, digital, and social media platforms.

  • Experience managing people and teams, either via direct reporting or influence.

  • Experience with both Consumer and B2B audiences.

Where you’ll be working

In this hybrid role, you'll have a defined work location that includes work from home and a minimum eight assigned office days per month that will be set by your manager.

For part-timers, your coverage will vary as you may be eligible for some of these benefits depending on your individual circumstances. If you are hired into a California, Colorado, Connecticut, Hawaii, Maryland, Nevada, New York, Rhode Island, Washington or Washington, D.C. work location, the compensation range for this position is between $118,000.00 and $239,000.00 annually based on a full-time schedule. The salary will vary depending on your location and confirmed job-related skills and experience. This is an incentive based position with the potential to earn more. For part time roles, your compensation will be adjusted to reflect your hours.
