General Summary:

Qualcomm Incorporated is seeking an experienced Environmental, Social and Governance (“ESG”) reporting specialist with 5+ years of related experience (e.g., drafting ESG report, voluntary ESG frameworks, ratings and rankings, etc.).  The candidate will be responsible for supporting Qualcomm’s Corporate Responsibility Report drafting and data collection processes, engaging in the Company’s response to thematic benchmarks and ESG ratings and supporting ESG regulatory compliance efforts. We are looking for candidates who are proactive, attentive to detail, and show strong judgment. We value candidates who can work both independently and collaboratively.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

  • Support the data collection, tie-out and controls implementation for Qualcomm’s Corporate Responsibility Report Process
    • Develop and draft desktop procedures and process documentation for ESG Performance Summary and voluntary frameworks data collection, review, and publication
    • Document process improvement opportunities and support efforts to address reporting gaps in terms of processes and audit readiness  
    • Manage Qualcomm’s ESG data collection portal including (but not limited to) Information Security Risk Management (ISRM) reviews, user and indicator updates, administrator activity reports
    • Stay up to date on reporting best practices and work with ESG Reporting Manager to implement best practices
  • Support ESG Reporting manager with identifying external communications and visibility opportunities around the CR report and other activities
    • Create and implement communications plan to support annual Corporate Responsibility Report (CRR)
    • Support the organization of internal sessions to update key stakeholders on CRR highlights
    • Update relevant external commitments and messaging on an ongoing basis
  • Support the engagement with different ESG rankings, ratings and thematic benchmarks for Qualcomm
    • Responding to relevant questionnaires and surveys
    • Coordinating appropriate responses with subject matter experts (where relevant)
    • Supporting the interfacing with priority ratings and rankings to ensure updated information
    • Identify areas of improvements and gaps to support continuous improvement efforts and improve programming across the Company
  • Support ESG data collection practices and efforts for compliance with different ESG regulations across the globe (e.g., Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD), Corporate Sustainability Due Diligence Directive (CSDDD), etc.)
  • Support the response to ESG related investor and customer queries and reporting (e.g., ECOVADIS, CDP)
  • Support improvements and maintenance of CR website from an ESG perspective in collaboration with ESG Reporting manager and CR communications manager
  • Support the analysis of stakeholder interests, queries, and external reporting trends to determine potential gaps

Minimum Qualifications:

•    Bachelor's degree in Government Affairs, Business, Political Science, Public Policy, Public Affairs, Engineering, Legal, or related field.
•     3+ years of Government Affairs, Communications, Industry Associations, or related work experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of relevant experience. Preferably implementing ESG reporting practices across a Fortune 500 corporation.
  • BS or BA in a specialty related to Sustainability, ESG, etc.  
  • Knowledge and understanding of, and commitment to continue to learn, international ESG reporting and disclosure regulations.
  • Familiarity with external reporting standards such as CDP, ISSB, GRI and regulatory frameworks such as CSRD and CSDDD.
  • Experience presenting data and analytics insights to technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Ability to effectively collaborate with teams and work effectively across functions and departments.
  • Experience working independently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in writing and verbally.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Pay range and Other Compensation & Benefits:

$113,600.00 - $170,400.00

The above pay scale reflects the broad, minimum to maximum, pay scale for this job code for the location for which it has been posted.
