About Global Marketing 

Led by the firm’s first Chief Marketing Officer, the marketing function at Goldman Sachs is backed by momentum and a broad imperative to unify the discipline, helping to codify a business-critical function seen as core to the firm’s future growth. As such, Goldman Sachs is focused on building out a data-and-technology enabled team of growth marketers, delivering value for the brand and the business. The organization will consist of a number of key COE roles in areas such as Brand, Media, Content, and Marketing Strategy, as well as marketing leads for each of our revenue divisions. Together, this team will collaborate to build a unified, scalable, and consistent approach to marketing the brand and its offerings. Within Global Marketing sits the Content group, which is charged with representing Goldman Sachs to the public. They do this by:

  • Driving the full lifecycle of content for the firm, including strategy and planning, publishing, distribution, analytics, measurement and technology
  • Developing improved governance to ensure content is built for purpose, and can be leveraged across our full array of audiences and channels
  • Incubating new content formats and products while seeking new ways to reach and engage different audiences
  • Collaborating with content creators and editors-in-chief across the firm, uniting our commitment to innovation and experimentation in one of our greatest assets, our thought leadership and insights

Role Summary

As part of the Content team within Goldman Sachs Global Marketing, the Associate Content Producer helps bring the insights, achievements, and culture of the firm to life through a variety of formats, ranging from podcasts to articles and Q&As with leaders across the firm. The Associate Producer will primarily be responsible for audio production and should bring experience and high standards to this format, while having an open mind and the intellectual rigor that will allow them to contribute more broadly to the content team and its goals and objectives. They will oversee all stages of execution on their projects and are expected to uphold standards of excellence with respect to quality and consistency. 

The successful candidate will be comfortable working from creative briefs and pitching ideas; proficient in all aspects of pre-production, scripting, in-studio oversight and managing senior stakeholders. They need to have a strong working knowledge of global markets and investing. They need to be a strong writer and critical thinker and passionate about working with editors to make the final piece the best possible version of itself. This role reports to the Vice President, Content Producer on the Global Marketing Content team.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee weekly production of audio podcast
  • Pitch new story ideas, concepts, and formats and contribute to regular editorial brainstorms across all content products and franchises
  • Keep abreast of broader economic and financial developments, as well as key firm events, initiatives, and research 
  • Shepherd all assigned projects from ideation through production and ultimately distribution
  • Assist with the production and post-production of other projects as needed 
  • Interface with and interview high-profile contributors
  • Communicate complex ideas clearly and concisely
  • Partner with the social media team to ensure video content is created and optimized for each social platform and audience
  • Closely monitor performance data (on-site and social) and apply learnings to future efforts 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree
  • 5+ years of experience working as a content producer in a media production environment
  • Strong sense of latest audio and digital media trends and best practices for content engagement
  • Experience with audio and podcast production 
  • Experience with brand marketing teams and an understanding of messaging, campaign development, paid/owned distribution, and marketing analytics is preferred
  • Ability to work in a high-pressure, fast-paced environment with quick turnarounds
  • Ability to collaborate with multiple colleagues across the organization and process feedback from multiple stakeholders 
  • Superb written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent attention to detail 
  • Strong understanding of post-production workflows

Salary Range 

The expected base salary for this New York, New York, United States-based position is $100000-$160000. In addition, you may be eligible for a discretionary bonus if you are an active employee as of fiscal year-end.
